Other than EA is a greedy company... or sorry Ubisoft. Kinda hard to tell them apart these day. I mean it's genius from a business point of view. Take something that used to be given away free with standard pre-order. Put it in the $100 super special collectors editions. Then let people pay you extra money just to test your broken game. It's so evil and smart I kinda applaud it despite knowing how wrong it is to fans. Who will all reply with "why are you so impatient just wait" cause they're so numb to getting slapped around by gaming companies these days they don't realize it's even happening anymore. Guys this used to be something you would get in standard edition, you didn't used to have to pay extra for early access. They used to give that free just a few years ago. Stand up for yourselves.
Reply with your guess on how long it will take to remove this thread. I'm betting 5 minutes.
They do it because they know people arent smart. Publishers have spent years trying to find better ways of separating people from their hard earned money while hardly doing any work in return for that money.
They do it because people still buy that crap lol
Sadly It seems Ubisoft now wants to be the next EA. They dont care how much they are despised so long as the quarterly reports still show immense profit.
It genuinely is sad because you know the people who really want to play it as early as possible are their big fans. The people who would support this game by pre-ordering (even though it's a bad idea to pre-order) are the fans. That is so exploitive to do that to people who honestly liked Division 1 and can't wait to play the sequel.
If everyone got it at the same time, then it would be the standard release date, not early access.Originally Posted by Slevin310 Go to original post
Yeah, loads of other benefits like early access to game, early access to year one stuff, early access to specializations...Originally Posted by Debiiru Go to original post
No like early access used to be something you'd get when you pre-ordered the game. Just the standard edition game. So you could only get early access if you pre-ordered it... does no one remember this being the way things worked a few years ago?Originally Posted by Bambihunter1971 Go to original post
Because people pay for it. And it's really not even 'early' access, you're paying extra to play it on time. As far as i'm concerned, tuesday is game release day (thats the way its been for decades). Rarely was there ever a friday release until this monetizing Tuesday BS started. In fact 'early access' when it first started meant you were playing on the friday before the tuesday launch. Now instead of actually playing early you're paying extra to play on time and not be delayed to friday.
