Most beautiful and Worst gameplay game ever

    Hi,

I am enjoying... I was enjoying the hell out of this game. The visuals - the wasteland is the most beautiful post-apo scenery Iīve ever seen. The colours and effects of nature are beyond amazing. Many Ubisoft games got me on visuals of the scenery- Assassinīs Creeds (Every single one), Wildlands, Divisions (Never played them) and now Far Cry New Dawn the most beautiful - the fogs, aurora, glowing nature, sun light beams... EVERYTHING. (Skyrim should look like this now!)

What I always love about games in genereal is a challange and "realism". So in the beggining before buying the game I was very turned off by Health bars and Damage table of weapons, Thatīs why I am not into Division even though itīs world and setting looks amazing, and sometimes it is anoying in new A.Creed games as well, yet still not gamebreaking.
HOWEVER in New Dawn it was kinda ok in the beginning. I turned off most of my hud playing on harder difficulty, so I can immerse myself into the world. Sometimes enemies required more hits, but it was ok, nice challenge. I could sneak upon enemies, stealth kill them with bow or throwing knife, everything was ok. But more I progressed in story, the harder it was even though I became more stronger and stronger, yet I felt weaker and weaker. My TEAR 3 weapons became useless, Stealth kills are impossible in Camps. Throwing knives... I can throw away = zero damage now. Itīs not fun... And if I am required to unlock all Legendary weapons to be able to play the game... well THANKS! - I donīt wanna waste 10hours grinding to enjoy the game.
I hate grinding for no other reason just because I canīt progress. I liked how it was in AC Oddessey - You didnīt have to grind - you were finding gear while playing. But in New Dawn I am stucked in boss fight with the twins. I had to turn on Damage and Health bars to see, what I can do to them.... ****IGN NOTHING. Legentdary Buzzsaw deals 1200 damage. Pipe bomb deals 1000 dmg and tear one Rocket Launcher (Iīve found one) deals 90 damage (90!!!!) and one chick has like 50 000 health? +/- Maybe more. I tried use my "Rage" mode fists... 575 dmg, one fist, while Lou is sniping me and Mickey is puncing me back = I AM DEAD. This doesnīt work either.

Itīs not challenging , it is unplayable and annoying. Very dissapoiting

.Story is complete ****, letīs be honest. The whole game feels like someone make beatifull scenery of wasteland and whole game was build around it in half year max. I can still hope I am not in last boss fight. I hope one twin dies and other goes ape****, that would be nice to story and some character development.

Seriously, you should make some patch to be able to turn off the Health bar system, beacause Iīd love to use other weapons (colt 1911) anytime. Let us upgrade weapons while Tearing up (And NO upgrading 5% of damage is not efficient). The game is extremly restricting and frustrating because of that.. SHAME.

And I donīt want to drown money in Far Cry 5 because it has no stupid health bar system so I can enjoy the gameplay.
It all seems like you just (2-3 years ago) figured out that in games there can be health bar system like in the 90s which is 20+ years ago!!!! And No one was asking for it. Everybody loved Assassins Creed system, WIldlands is superior - Make Division like Wildlands. Far Cry 2 and 3 The best Far Crys Immersive, playable, ENJOYABLE.

    Ahhhhh
    Cheers.

This exactly what I was dreaming about in games! The difficulty of the game shouldn't decrease with our upgrading and progress. As usual, what happens? The stronger you become the easier walkthrough. The stronger you are - the less challenge. If you have super armor and super sword in the game...you are the Boss! Nothing to fear. You are not so vulnerable. But with this invulnerability game start dying. With the moment when you get "super sword" ... the game won't be the same. To be vulnerable and to stay vulnerable till the end of the game is very important!

blasting through the game without leveling up the weapons gets you stuck like this.. by the time you get to the mission with the twins.. you need the top tier weapons.. and loads of armor piercing rounds for them.. btw the way I have taken out the twins fairly fast 3 times is this... compound bow with explosive arrows, sniper rifle with AP rounds, DA50 hand gun with AP rounds.. and LOTs of pipe bombs thrown at them..and laying down loads of proximity explosives behind me as I run ahead to area's in that level.. I also take the gun for hire that uses the 50 ca machine gun (she takes care of most the other enemies). all of which are leveled up to the top and also upgraded a few times after. I first go after the one snipping.. I take her out with 3 shots to the head from my sniper rifle using AP rounds followed by one last throw of a pipe bomb.. the proximity mines and my GFH usually take out most the other enemies trying to chase after me.. and also lower the health of baddy 2 a bit .. I usually take her out with one shot to the head followed by hurling about 10 pipe bombs at her. how so many mines and pipe bombs you may ask? learn how to craft while on the run and ducking fast into cover.

but I do agree.. the new tiered weapon and enemy system totally sucks! and does not belong in what we know as a Far Cry game.. 3 was ok 4 and 5 rocked.. why change it .. this is worse than the damn malaria and weapon jamming that FC2 had.

As for Assassin's Creed .....I will always prefer Far Cry. First person shooter is first person shooter. Like it is said in boxing - puncher always has a chance. FPS Far Cry - is a puncher. May be today it has some problems and not perfect but it has all chances to hit hard. I think game needs romanticization. A bit of romanticism. Assassin's developers understood that, Far Cry developers not yet. In Assassin's we have beautiful ancient cities, crossing endless fields on horseback with beautiful music.....In Far Cry we have mess, Mess and MESS! Hardly able to drive a few metres without someone attacking us. Add a bit of romanticism in Far Cry and game will puch. Instead of cities, (Far Cry is not about the city) let it be couzy villages....Instead of horse, let it be motorbike....Instead of eagle, let it be drone (one more opportunity to see ourselves 3d person) ...Add Love to Far Cry. Not Far Cry as "Romeo and Juliette" but a love thread. Love story in the work of art - is not "yesterday". It's eternal. Classic. Always worked and always will work. Today Far Cry is rather chaotic. But chaos destroys. It's time for some harmony.

The problem OP lies more in your lack of experimentation than the game design, except maybe for the main villains, constant rap soundtrack, and hot pink flowers scattered everywhere. I solved the latter with ReShade changing them to blue.

    1. Keep your max health equal in health bars to that of the level of enemies you're facing (3 bars for level 3 enemies, etc).

    2. Same with weapons, level 3 weapons for level 3 enemies, etc

    3. I've not used knives for the most part, but bows are VERY deadly. When shooting at level 3 armored enemies, hit their soft parts. The one I use most is their pelvis, which is unarmored.

    4. There are also sniper and assault rifles with suppressors. An Elite sniper rifle will one shot an Elite guard with a headshot if you switch to armor piercing rounds (1600 DMG).

    5. Even an Elite shovel does 900 DMG when thrown spear style at an enemy.

There are many ways to equip yourself, lots of which involve stealth, but it kinda goes without saying it takes a lot of Ethanol, resource farming, and specialist rescuing to get the big boy toys. That fits though because this installment is as much about surviving a nuclear post apocalyptic setting as it is fighting the Highwaymen.

I also focus a lot on recruiting and leveling companions, because ones like Timber after he gets his 40 kills and level 4 Training Camp experience are easy to take outposts undetected, which builds up your Ethanol fast. I also had no trouble going in close with the bow and butt shotting level 3 guards undetected though.

My last play through will be on Hard-Arse with no HUD or companions. That's the only one where I'll have to be extra patient and cautious I think.

He's not complaining about the game being hard or challenging. He's complaining about it deviating from the RPG genre. It would be okay if the game didn't flaunt it's rpg elements and then give you a completely opposite experience. The gameplay is pretty horrible, probably in the top 5 worst on any platform I've played simply because of the lazy weapon leveling system. It's a far cry game that makes you use only certain guns and discourages exploration with enemies that take more bullets than you have combined in all 4 of your guns. It literally took it's own legacy and took a giant poop on it.
