The division 2 gold edition question about share content between PSN profiles

    Hi agents,

I bought the divison 2 gold edition in the psn store on a psn profile aren't my main psn profile because i share this account with another partner, he have the divison 2 psn profile like secondary and play it with this psn profile. I have the divison 2 psn profile like primary and i play with my main psn profile that is linked to my psn like a primary (both psn profiles are from same country psn store)

I think will no have problem to enjoy the content of the gold edition (1 year seasson pass), right?

    Thanks!

I can confirm that the Year One Pass will only work on the PSN account it was purchased on.

Really? In the psn store website say: Software subject to license (us.playstation.com/softwarelicense). Online features require an account and are subject to terms of service and applicable privacy policy (playstationnetwork.com/terms-of-service & playstationnetwork.com/privacy-policy). One-time license fee for play on account’s designated primary PS4™ system and other PS4™ systems when signed in with that account.

I think the content are share between all accounts linked in ps4

nope the year 1 pass is not like normal DLC its a subscription linked to the psn account its redeemed on, you should be fine to play base game on another profile but if you want the extra year 1 pass content you will just have to purchase another year 1 pass on your psn profile later once the year 1 pass goes on sale after friday when game launches for everyone

here is faq https://support.ubi.com/en-gb/faqs/38832/The-Division-2-ULCs-TD2, see the note "Please note that the above content is bound to the primary account and cannot be shared with any sub-account."

can a ubi rep confirm if that is the case not only for the year 1 pass content but also the other ULCs like the The Battleworn Secret Service Pack and The Capitol Defender Pack?

as those are not part of the year 1 pass content and i think should just be available for all accounts on the ps4 they were redeemed on.

@ubi-Keo , if that is the case is there a option if i email ubisoft support with the codes i get for the The Battleworn Secret Service Pack and The Capitol Defender Pack before i redeem them to have them changed to the region my psn profile can redeem them on, because my PSN id is US PSN based but the codes i will be getting are for AU PSN

normally thats not a problem as i have another AU PSN id i redeem pre-order codes on and then any of the pre-order items / DLC are then unlocked for all profiles on the ps4 but if your saying only 1 account can access them now i am not going to redeem them on that other AU profile.

i still dont think this is a fare responce every other game even previous ubisoft titles including division 1 has not treated DLC/ ULC like this

lets say your a family / couple that work in the emergency department that purchased the ultimate edition for the First Responder Pack , only 1 account will be able to redeem those codes and the only way another profile on the same console will be able to get another set of codes for that pack would be to purchase another copy of the ultimate edition even though you can still play the base game on 2 different psn id on same console why is the bonus content locked to just 1 account

Yes they have. And for most other companies it is like this. The ones that allow it are the exception, not the rule.

With regards to ubisoft, I bought The Division 1 from the US store and the season pass from a UK seller. Ubisoft would not help then. Things worked out for me as I ended up picking the game local for very little.

Bottom line is, if you are mixing and matching from different stores/markets be wary of which one you buy the DLC on, and don't assume that account/console linking gives you access to anything more than the base game.

i can understand that you should purchase season passes/DLC and be wary that the pass/DLC should match your region of the base game, but the BIG issue is that they are locking the DLC to just 1 account per ps4

i wouldn't be kicking up such a stink if it worked like every other game i have ever played on ps4 in that once the pass/dlc has been redeemed on 1 psn account and its the primary account any other account on that ps4 can still play that season pass/DLC content thats how it worked in division 1 and every other game i have played why has it changed with division 2 now?

it even says when you purchase content from PSN there is a One-time license fee for play on account’s designated primary PS4™ system and other PS4™ systems when signed in with that account.

how can ubisoft just add a small note that says on the bottom of there FAQ "Please note that the above content is bound to the primary account and cannot be shared with any sub-account."

i know multiple people looking for refunds on the gold/ultimate editions now because nowhere does it say when you purchase those editions that the bonus content is bound to only 1 account.
