Same here. Having sessions where it is almost unplayable due to lag/frame rate issues slot of the time. Logging out and back in seems to help for a while, but that's just not possible if you're mid mission really? I'm on PS4 Pro

Loads of lag on PS4 Pro... just like Div1... so I have zero hope of this getting fixed.

Having severe stuttering during free roam. Playing on PS4 Pro.

Same issue here. PS4 Pro. I have stuttering every 5 to 10 seconds everywhere I go, even when not in a mission. When I am in a mission, the lag is every 2 to 5 seconds and has me rubber-banding all over the place. Only relief I get (when in freeroam) is to stand still for a while, then I can move around that single block without problems. When turning a corner though or traveling further on, the stuttering comes back. I was playing a mission alone when a single boss encounter was so painfully lagged that i had to rely on my turrets as my only means of damage. In this state, the game is too frustrating for me to play. I'll be monitoring this thread and keeping an eye on patch notes to see when this clears up so I can come back and keep playing this awesome game.

This link was posted by a Ubisoft mod on another thread and i will say i did some of these steps and it has been a major improvement in stability issues for me. I was very doubtful but it really did help. Not saying it will help everyone but give these a try and i hope it helps you all out.

Hi, I just wanted to chime in and say that last night when I re-created a character to solo with, I got a massive case of frame drops and slow-down - approaching what seems to be 1 frame per second, with freezes - totally unplayable gameplay during the first Rescue Eleanor Mission at the hotel (particularly the region with the burned interior and the section with the gun turret to blow the door). It even led to a death as I had no idea I was downed until it unfroze, by then too late.

I have also got slow-downs during free roaming, but nothing as bad as that first mission - it's mostly a perceivable frame rate drop while free roaming.

    I have a standard PS4, first generation.
Division 2 is saved to my SEAGATE 4TB external hard drive.
Division 2 was installed from disc/retail copy.

And my gaming buddy who also has a PS4 standard and installed to his external hard drive also experience similar issues of some slight stuttering in free roam or on missions.

I have recommended that when I sense the frame drops starting to appear I quit the game, and even reboot my PS4 - but obviously, mid-mission this is not a solution.

The weird thing is that I played the open-beta demo for the first couple of main story missions and a couple of side missions and it was very smooth. It was also installed to my external hard drive.
The PS4 open beta was so smooth I based my purchasing decision on it, as I had compared to the open beta on Xbox One that I had installed and played roughly the same amount of time with. Xbox open beta was only slightly less for performance/frame rate (I perceived), but now for the full PS4 retail game, these frame drops are quite staggering.

Please Ubisoft, please get this fixed as a priority.

Just wanted to update things: Since the server maintenance yesterday at around 9:30 GMT, I haven't experienced anything like the lag I've described above. I have played a few missions since the first mission and it mostly feels smooth. Still testing in game, but currently it seems quite good! If it's due to server reset/maintenance, thanks Ubisoft and game devs!

EDIT: Spoke too soon, it got some slight stuttering after a 2 hour play session in free roam, but when I think about it, it was at the tail end here and early morning, meaning it was probably peak time elsewhere. Don't know if that would effect it, but again the solution is to log-out and log back into to settle things down.

    Hi,
same problem here. At the moment I can't play Grand Washington hotel, but sometimes I also have random lag in other missions and other areas in the city.
I really love this game, but please UBISOFT FIX THIS PROBLEM. When in game game starts this lag, everything run at 5 fps and is totally impossible to play. I can't pay 70€ of my hard work for play a game like this.
And I can't believe I need restart my console 3-4 times at day, for have a better session.
At the moment the game is hard to play.....
I also play on Ps4 Pro

exactly the same here. I had this lag randomly since I played the second mission. After that, everyday I have this problem is some missions and in other random places. I don't know what I can do, but is frustrating to play like this
