Hi guys, i've done 5 runs of benchmark on 1440p on Ultra preset (vsync off) with DX11 and another 5 runs on DX12.
These are the results:
DX11-1 90fps
DX11-2 89fps
DX11-3 89fps
DX11-4 89fps
DX11-5 89fps
DX12-1 67fps
DX12-2 76fps
DX12-3 67fps
DX12-4 64fps
DX12-5 71fps
Very bad results in DX12, much worst then Betas. And i'm also using latest Nvidia driver 419.35, the one that should "Provides the optimal gaming experience for Tom Clancy’s The Division II".
My build: i5-9600K/RTX 2080/16Gb Ram
Anyone else experiencing this performance degradation with DX12?
DirectX12 still seems like a gimmick as it was hyped up to be something that modern systems could run on, and get much better performance with. It's also required for things like HDR and ray tracing. Yet it performs like trash.
Maybe in another year or more all the issues will be ironed out of it and the performance will outperform DirectX11. But for now it's not worth the FPS drops and crashes.
i thought the amd thing was just a marketting plot ; wasn't the division 1 with the nvidia tag instead and both games use the same engine?Originally Posted by bOOURNS36 Go to original post
it's just whatever imo
whichever company offers the most money gets their splash screen there ; at least that how i thought it worked![]()
Even the RTX lineup of Nvidia GPUs are still not DirectX12 friendly. Nvidia need to do something because AMD are beating them in this regard.Originally Posted by Nor3m4c Go to original post
Same. I see better performance with dx12 vs dx11 on my Radeon VII. Saw the same performance increase on a Vega 64 also that was replaced with the VII.Originally Posted by Nor3m4c Go to original post
Maybe it works better on CPUs with higher core counts?Originally Posted by MightyTalong Go to original post
