because JB is in a price war with amazon and harvey norman currently so they sell it at cost or below just to price match amazon to get our business now, just be glad we are currently getting all these great physical release prices right now from brick and mortor stores,
normally its amazon is first to drop the price then lately havery norman has been coming to the party to try match amazon and then once one physical store has matched the lower price you can pick it up anywhere that price matches even EB games had a great deal where you could get it for $29 when trading in 2 games, what i did was go pick up 2 cheap $5 titles at harvery norman then traded them back to EB, ended up getting division 2 for $40
ubistore is not in the business of trying to match our retailers they did offer 20% off if you used 100 ubisoft points which was ok deal if you wanted gold edition or higher but if just going std edition there are much better deals locally.
Ubi store digital $89.95
jbhifi physical copy $64
Doesn't make sense no matter the spin..digital should always be cheaper and then they sell it on so a cut (or in this instance you say 0 cut should still be higher after factoring disks manual box ect ect)
To me this just make the ubi store look greedy.. and me looking at a refund...
also there are uk stores selling gold copies for about 60 au
have you looked at digital store prices on PSN/xbox live its never cheaper to go digital then physical here in Australia unless your on PC, the days of manuals and boxes are long gone, even PC physical copies these days dont even include a disk just a code to redeem in a box if your lucky.
not sure what websites are offering gold edition for $60 AU should post it on ozbargain i dont think ubi store is being greedy just standard RRP there is no incentive for them to drop to price of other retailers they offered 20% off with a code if you didnt look around at other places to purchase from before going directly to ubi store thats on you
You can get a 20% discount with 100 Uplay points in the Uplay store which brings the price down.Originally Posted by Grimjoe Go to original post
