ah ha! I have just remembered I had a similar issue with another game that was doing this with Riva Tuner enabled. I'm sure it it was another Ubisoft game. May have been one of the recent AC games. Time for testing it with this turned off...
I've already turned off RivaTuner and anything else with an overlay. As an FYI, you can cap the FPS with an in game option in Division 2. Doesn't help in other games, but will help testing Division without having to use vsync.

I also tried playing in Windowed mode to see if that had anything to do with the weird fullscreen/windowed switcharoo going on, and crashed after about an hour. So, still crashing even playing in windowed mode.

Well, I was able to play after trying the game in different settings - low, medium and high. All were fine. It is something in the Ultra settings that is causing the hang, for me anyway. I have a support ticket so I am giving them as much info as I can but maybe this may help someone?

This has to be a shed load of variants that is causing crashing. I did just turn off Rivatuner and took off vsync. Capped the FPS to 80 and managed to run without a crash or any FPS issues for the last 2 hours. Ubisoft look like they have a lot of issues to solve quick.

On another note, I notice that everyone posting in this thread is using nVidia cards. I know this is developed with AMD and I've seen this happen before in other games at release.

Very similar/Same issue as others; Random playtime, game freezes, switches to window for a sec then crashes completely. Submitted 6 crash reports today.

    Windows 10
    I7-7700K
    GTX 1080ti - 419.35
    16GB RAM

Logs are empty in C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\games\Tom Clancy's The Division 2\logs

Anyone know where the crash logs are dumped? And, if they get deleted after submitting a crash report?

Has there been any official acknowledgement of this issue? I can't find it in any "known issues" threads or posts.

Constantly crashing since today it seems when grouped up with 3 or 4 people in either matchmake or friends list , i don't know if it's latency related but it's very frustrating , submitted atleast 6 crash reports today never happened to me while soloing.

    i7 4770k , 3.4 ghz
    GTX 980 TI OC
    16 GB ddr4
Win 7 x64 , SP 1 all drivers up-to date never happened in either BETA's.

Got the visual c++ runtime error only two times but with the same crash so I really don't think this is on our end when any other triple AAA titles like Metro Exodus in Far Cry New Dawn work flawlessly.

Just downloaded the latest NVIDIA drivers 419.35 I will update if it's fixed or not.

    Yeah same goes for me..
Tried really EVERYTHING and last night I played 5 - 6 Hours wihtout trouble of crashing.
Now today it starts all over again. Really really frustrated about that and nothing really seem to fix it, nor some helping words from Ubisoft.

Bugs here and there well ok BUT AT LEAST LET US PLAY THE GAME....

Hi guys! If you've already tried the steps in this post, we recommend submitting a ticket with your MSINFO and dxdiag files. Please also include all the troubleshooting steps you've done so far. Let me know what your ticket number is so we can look into it for you!
