I had the same issues.
Aparently I just play for like 2 hours with no crash.

- Got the latest nvidia driver
- deleted all file mentioned in reddit post
- change from fullscreen to borderless
- turned DX 12 ON

Dont know if its a problemsolver for anyone but it works FOR NOW for me at least

I have had several failure to launch in the past 15 minutes, the first 15 minutes ive tried. i have also done the first mission presumably the one before the white house. i have gotten the Charlie 3 Error every time, some in the cut scene at the end and some before i get to the continue screen that shows your character... Every time it shows a different file that cant be verified... i have turned off all overlays and closed all programs except Uplay and the game itself i even reinstalled the game once and re verified the files a couple of times. Nothing has worked.

Same settings than other user, game crashes randomly after some minutes:

Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti, driver 419.35 (rolled back last driver, still crashed)
16 GB RAM
Direct X 12 (tried 11 didn't work either)
Updated windows 10, etc, not working...

I have the same issue. Game crashes after an arbitrary amount of time while running Dx 12. Before I started playing yesterday I uninstalled my graphics drivers with DDU and installed a fresh version of the latest Nvidia drivers (419.35). Game kept crashing within 5-20 minutes. I tried all kinds of settings from the Nvidia control panel. Gsync on/off, Vsync on/off, different refresh rates. Etc. etc. Nothing made a difference. I then tried increasing Windows' Timeout Detection and Recovery (TDR) timer from the default 2 seconds to 60 seconds. Just as expected, the game ended up freezing for 60 seconds before crashing to desktop. So there's something going on that causes the GPU/drivers to hang, which then makes Windows shut down the drivers.

After reading this thread I uninstalled the 419.35 drivers and installed 419.17. I managed to play for 2.5-3 hours with these drivers and I thought the problem had been fixed, but then all of a sudden the game crashed again. After this crash the game seems to be crashing more and more often. Now I get maybe 25-30 minutes of play before the drivers and game goes down.

Edit: This has nothing to do with temps either. Temps are fine and graphics card is not overclocked.

I was getting this problem earlier. I had disabled my gamepad in the settings so I changed it back to enabled and disabled the vibration so I could continue using M&K. Managed to get 3+ hours gameplay without a crash and when it did crash it was after I had done Alt+Tab which may have caused it.

Interesting. However it crashes for me without gamepad plugged in. Though when it was the vibration seemed wrong/not working.
