We do not have any updates at this time to provide for this issue, I can assure you that it has been reported to the dev team and is being monitored. When we have more information to share, we will do so.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Appreciate it! Knowing how on top of the skill/gadget issue you guys were just hearing that it's being worked on is a nice relief.

Honestly my only issue with the game and it's minor when everything else is as fun as it is.

At least a response..... now I'll gripe about the fact that there is no timeline for a fix...... lol

    Guys,

I do not think it will ever be fixed until PS5 (and better internet connection on your side).

The PS4 PRO isn't powerful enough to move high definition textures so when you move the texture stay slightly blurred for better performance. Once you stop the close texture get a better definition (while the far object stay with blurred textures as is almost not possible to notice it).

If all will be high def textures you will experience an incredible drop in frame rate, mostly when running around as many textures change really fast. They may reduce the quality of the texture but then...it will always look worst, at least here when you stop and the textures load up everything looks amazing!

We just have to cope with it until the next gen console will arrive, it isn't that bad and in close environment (missions or strongholds) it almost never happen.

I was hoping this would be addressed in the State of the Game stream today, but it was not. With that being said I am starting to think that we won't ever see a fix for this, which is such a terrible shame. If anything we will probably get some blog post trying to explain how its impossible to fix. I of course could be wrong, and I hope that I am. I have never wanted to be so wrong in my entire life, but its just not looking likely in my book. Such a shame.

The idea that this problem can’t be fixed is rificulus and short sighted. The idea that it won’t be fixed is a different story.

The developers may not want to take the time and energy to further optimize for the consoles and that is totally on them. This is not an unsolvable problem considering the other games we have on these consoles and what they have accomplished with asset and texture streaming. Look at Spider-Man, God of War, GTA V, Destiny 1&2, The Last of Us, Assasins Creed (all), etc, etc, and tell me the asset and texture streaming in Division 2 is on par or even in the same league as those games.... It’s a pipeline of optimization and it can be improved and even fixed IF they take the time to do so.

I totally agree, it can be fixed. The game looks really good, but let's be real, graphics are not out of this world. Rdr2 looks times better and has no similiar issues. It's online, open world game too and it's running smoothly. The Idea that consoles are not strong enough to cope with the game is just silly. It's either optimization or server issues on Ubi side.

Lack of response from devs means that either they're working secretly on the fix or simply don't want to spend any resources to sort it out. I bet it's the second one. I mean who cares about consoles when all the main YT content creators play the game on PC... If they are happy, everybody else is as well... right?
