Only seems to be less visible in missions or underground areas. Seems to me that these areas are smaller in size to load and thus resulting in faster texture loading. But that's just a guess.

Anyone here that tried to use an external SSD to solve the texture issue? Don't want to replace my 2TB HDD, which works fine 99% of the time, to an expansive 2TB SSD. It's just not worth it and don't want to download all my other games again as well...
Im going to try tonight mate, but I only have a 240gig SSD Sony say you need a 250gig minimum. Ill let you know the results later.

Thanks, I'm about to buy an external 250GB SSD (Samsung T5).

    I totaly agree.
The day I have to upgrade a console to play a game, it's the day I stop playing with one and buy a pc..

Over twenty pages into the thread now .. At this point I doubt they'll even acknowledge this.. let alone a fix. If anyone else can confirm that an SSD fixes the issue that would be helpful. Can't believe I'm even having to consider doing this... rediculious.

Guys you absolutely don't need to swap internal PS4 HDD. I have attached my Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SDD inside usb 3.1 UASP SATA 6G enclosue to PS4 as external SSD and my god.. results are incredible! I can barely see any texture pop-ins. Its sad that you have to get SSD to enjoy D2 but this is a solution!

But again you don't have to swap your original PS4 HDD, results are almost indentical with internal or external SSD because PS4 isn't capable of using full potential (speed) of SSD. I tried because I ddin't want to swap ma 2TB original HDD in 500M edition PS4 Pro. cheers!

Yeah that's what I found out as well, almost makes no difference when using an internal or external SSD regarding performance / loading times.

So we have to buy a SSD to experience the game in the way it should have been on release for console. That’s the solution. That really sucks.

Would love a exchange for the PC version...but I bought the game through Best Buy and it’s well over the return period at this point.

https://www.samsung.com/uk/memory-st.../MZ-75E500BEU/ is this the drive you use externally? And does it come with required usb to plug into the back of my pro? Thanks.

Yes this one but I you can buy 860 EVO too, its newer (not exactly better as benchmarks showed but its cheaper because 850s are no longer in production). But it is normal internal SSD so you have to buy enclosure (case). Look for cases which supports UASP and have SATA 6G. But if you find a good price you can just go and buy external SSD like Samsung T5 or Sandisk Extreme Portable. Then you don't have to buy any enclosure.
