Marcostyle is on twitch right now streaming the full version of the game and something tells me his character isn't going to be deleted for the official launch tomorrow.
Why are we paying for early access when all you have to do to trump other players is gain a following on twitch and shill for Ubisoft? And how is this going to work out when you drop raids and people are aiming for world first clears when you have a group of people who have a sizeable head start on everyone else?
Everything was going so well for you right up until the last minute and you've made two completely boneheaded decisions back to back, leaving it until the last minute to tell us about the colossal patch for physical customers, and giving streamers earlier access to the game than customers who paid for early access to the game.
EDIT - Over two months since I posted this and at the risk of sounding like I'm gloating, I was right on every point.
A party comprised almost entirely of youtube influencers and streamers got world first on the raid.
Free advertising.
These streamers have a following of micro-marcos…...Every dollar they spend as a result of macro-marco's stream is a dollar they otherwise would not have gotten.
Don't worry about early access - there's no prize for it. At the end of the day we'll all be on an even playing field regardless of start times.
Australia doesn't go live for another 25 minutes, he has early access.Originally Posted by Merphee Go to original post

Reviewers and content creators will be able to start playing the game alongside everyone else when early access begins.

It's not just him - Twitch D2 channel is full of streamers playing already.Originally Posted by mattrickl06 Go to original post
Im with you on that bar one thing, it will take a bit of time for it to fill the ranks out so the filtering works, so ye bit of a tinged tail to streamers and influencers getting a head start, and quite a solid head start probs means it will give them a good strong start to get the top of the ladders and rankings and inturn guilds faster and inturn the better rewards faster etc etc etc. So ye in the long run wont be a biggie, but in the short term its going to skew the leaderboards and rankings.Originally Posted by Goo-Goo-Man Go to original post
Not to a major degree, but it will simply due to mods etc being unlocked sooner and all that.
And what are the odds we'll end up with a situation like destiny where streamers are all pushing regular players out of world first raid content thanks to insider perks.Originally Posted by Goo-Goo-Man Go to original post
