I like Far Cry New Dawn, but it definitely has some flaws that need fixing. Number one, and this is the one I feel we need the most, having the option to sell the amount of resources we want. When we go sell loot at the shops, sometimes I want to sell one or two of that loot such as a elite boar skin and not have to sell all my skins. Second, is that the doors on the loot trucks get stuck and don't want to open. When I get killed and I respawn with that same truck and I'm able to open the doors all the loot is gone. Finally, I feel like the human roosters should be given the ability to grapple, wingsuit, and even parachute instead of having to wait for ages for them to come to you. Hopefully these changes are implemented within the game in the next update.
I've only played the game a little more than one time through, but I'm pretty sure the only use you get out of animal skins is trading them for resources you can use to craft things. Unlike past FC games, you cannot directly craft things from animal skins. Thus there's never any reason to hang on to them.
I read about doors on loot trucks getting stuck in one thread, but most said it seldom happens. I've had a ramp stick at half extension, but I've never seen the doors not open on those trucks. The only consistent glitch I've had is one or two crashes every long game session, but that appears to have been fixed by uninstalling the HD Texture Pack. Many have said just disabling it in the graphics menu works too, but since I was't playing at 4K, I figured I'd save the file space. This was also a problem for many in FC 5.
There are actually a couple of special weapons that require a monstrous animal skin to craft. Admittedly this makes it a fairly small complaint - just craft the weapon before you sell the skins. To be clear, I made the same mistake once, I just went out and hunted another skin...Originally Posted by Frag_Maniac Go to original post
What weapons are you talking about? I never see anything but 10 circuit boards mentioned as trade-able goods for Monstrous skins, and all weapon ingredients I've seen require other hardware as well. The game tends to work on a trade for needed hardware basis. It wouldn't make any sense if you could craft a weapon directly from a skin. In past FCs it made sense to craft straight from skins because it was leather goods you were crafting (holster belts, ammo bags, loots bags, etc).Originally Posted by piercehead Go to original post
^This, I was playing last night and did find an Elite weapon which required a Monstrous Boar skin as part of it's build requirements. I also happened to be farming Monstrous Bison due to needing circuit boards as well. It's really pretty straightforward once you look at the option mentioned to sell one at a time. Even simpler if you just build the weapon you're wanting to before choosing to do ANY trading, be it one at a time or everything remaining.Originally Posted by crunc01 Go to original post
On a side note, that double barreled sawed off shotgun that requires one Monstrous Boar skin is quite the weapon. At 950 DMG it deals out 1900 per reload, and makes quick work of any Monstrous predator, especially if you're with Gina and her explosive LMG rounds. They literally go down in seconds.
If I had money for every time you post this I'd be a rich man by now.Originally Posted by KmarkoPL Go to original post
You're like a stuck record mate.
Don't you ever get bored of telling people there are no more updates?
