Help with Active Object Count! (XB1 Bug?)

I'm having a potential issue with the 'Active Object" count (in Statistic Overlay).

One specific area of my track has the object count near the "max" of around 1,080. (Also gives the max physics object limit warning message.)

It seems that setting objects to work as decoration only removed it from the active object count, but leaving the edit object menu after setting the physics to decoration only seems to reset the object count back to what it was.

As I move around my track, the object count drops to semi-normal values of 400-600 objects, but one area, even though it seems to have less objects, always hovers around 1,000 no matter what I do to the objects in the area.

Is this a bug? Is there something I'm missing?

Playing on XBOX ONE, any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

ADDITIONAL INFO:: The active object count only reaches the limit in EDIT mode, not while testing the track.

I have exactly the same problem, while in editor mode the active object count is in red at about 1000, while riding it says more like 100 but the performance is still low which makes me think its still trying to read all the active objects rather than just the ones in my physics bubble, sometimes some of the readings differ from run to run as well.

Would be useful if there was a tutorial video for the statistics overlay explaining how it works.

I have a spot in my track that hits 1500, but runs fine. Though I have not uploaded it yet, so hard to say if it has performance issues outside of the editor.
