    Map uploading but invisable

About a month ago I uploaded a map I worked on for about 3 weeks, and it was getting played, but I needed to make some tweaks to it. When I went into the editor to make said changes, all the scripts were screwed up, with alot of the “spawn” entities having just disappeared. So in my infinite laziness I just downloaded the map, made the changes and uploaded it after deleting the previous one. Now heres where the problem started, the map wasnt gettinng played by anyone, and I couldnt find it in the file share. Ubisoft aupport has fone evrything they could on their end apparently, and none of the steps they suggested worked for me. I uploaded another map and it went through. Is this map just screwed?

Just remember that if you don't make enough changes on your map it will end up in the workshop, this was made on purpose by Ubisoft to prevent "cheap" clones.

An option to lock maps from being coppied is the solution to that rather than all this mess. We did ask for the option to lock our maps right from the begining, but again we where ignored!

Your map probably went to the Workshop category. It's only visible for those actively searching for it.

To fix this, work some more on the map, and whatever you do, do NOT use "save as" under another name. Then publish the map as an update again.

Maps with a low modification count get sent to Workshop. "Save as" resets the modification count to 0, so you'll put in even more work.

Ohhhh okay thanks a million man! I did not know this! So just keep making changes to it but wait a while to upload?

Time is not a factor I think. You should make at minimum number of mutations to the map before it's deemed ok. I think around 600, but I still don't know of a guaranteed way to prevent the Workshop flag.

Not to hijack this thread or muddy the waters, but I usually do a Save As right before I publish to give my map a catchier name. How come my maps don't go to the Workshop? Not complaining, just wondering...
