HI!

I know For Honor is not any realistic medieval war game, but rather being fictional warfare game with many realistic elements and somewhat pressing mood which I very much like. For background, I played Rainbow Six: Siege from the very release, having a copy two weeks after initial release on PC and I loved it! I asked so many friends to get the game and two of them eventually got it and loved it as well. About half a year after release I went and said that it was the best ever multiplayer game I have ever played and I still think so, even though For Honor too is phenomenal right now.

It is clear that there is some serious talent in the ranks of Ubisoft, but I'm worried that same fate will face For Honor as faced Siege. The very first two new operators to Siege were somewhat alarming to me, having a foxy looking eskimo chick as an operator who is meant to deal with some serious business, protecting citizens from terrorism. It bothered me every time I saw her face in the game, but I let it slip since the game was so fun, even though at this point the game wasn't functioning perfectly. Down the road more operators came and we were excited about them with my friend, but they started to get more and more ridiculous and not fitting Rainbow Six at all, rather being insulting instead on the legacy of it.

Updates are fine to me and I'm all for them if they are done correctly, but updates ruined Siege to me and I cannot play it anymore, it is so ridiculous clown fest when these shockingly stereotypical unamusing characters run around and pretent to be counter terrorism. What on earth were some people at Ubisoft thinking and still going on with this madness. You could always argue that don't take the characters so seriously and of course I wouldn't if I was watching comedy or some parody, but we are talking Rainbow Six here me as a fan of the very first game as well, a very serious and touching game about national security that deals with issues that exist in real life. I love the pressing mood, I loved it at the release of Siege and it's beyond me wihy it was ruined this way. I love humour too, but I get my laughs elsewhere, like from a comedy series or a funny Youtube clip.

Bringing disrespectful, inconsiderate, very unrealistic, lazily made and painfully voice acted characters through updates into Siege was a disaster to many and I hope the same doesn't happen to For Honor in any way, like through emotes for example. I have already witnessed a very depressing emote by the hero Nuxia: when she performs an execution, she sits on the player like a snob lady at the same time knifing the player or something stupid like that. Immediately, and this is not an exaggeration, when I see this character and her animation happening in the middle of the screen, all the mood and feeling of war goes down the drain, it is that powerful of an effect on me. I feel disgusted, confused and I don't feel like I'm in war anymore, but rather watching some sitcom comedy show, and I feel saddened because I wanted to play For Honor and experience this attrocious and cruel fight between different clans, but insted I'm watching some insultment on the hard work the developers have done making this game. It feels very discouraging and sad.

I sincerely hope from the bottom of my heart that this game will be spared from bad updates and respected as a fine product of gaming professionalism and careful thought. I certainly will not play this game anymore if animations like this that are completely off the mood show on my screen in the heat of the battle. I can recommend this game to my friends as of now, but I'm not sure about that anymore if major misconducts like these continue. Please respect the work done and don't bring updates for the sake of them. If you have something important to release or you consider it to be beneficial and properly good content, release it away, but don't release updates just to tell people that "we constantly update the game". Siege would still be a masterpiece if it was like at the release, only the technical issues fixed, but now it's just trash and circus for the masses without an intact soul. I understand monetization of a game is important, but there are better solutions to do this. I consider even map packs and sellable big features like new game modes to be better solution, even though playerbase would split, but only if these features would come in a neat package and not sold one by one as downloadable DLC.

To still talk about Siege, I must say that monetization of Siege is a failure from a customer standpoint. When I still played Siege, I had a break of roughly 6 months and came back to the game. Immediately there were players who used new stupid heroes with their abilities and it was very annoying when you didin't know anything about them. I can accept a learning curve when I first time play a game, but it seems with constant updates you never learn the game and it's just constant tricks on you if you don't research and learn upcoming content on the internet. It is not fun to play when you are already a veteran and a new hero just does whatever magic to bring you down and only thing you can do is just to watch and die. Updates ruin games these days, content updates seem to be more negative in many cases than positive. Exceptions exist of course, but let Siege be a major example of a game handled very wrong post launch.

Ubisoft, I encourage you to protect the legacy of For Honor and being honorable yourselves by respecting this fantastic game of brilliant gameplay ideas and fine atmosphere to behold. Don't let greed or any bad habit of this world to blind you, trust your wits and bring this game and your name to glory by introducing this fine game to new players and giving it only the updates it deserves and what fans are thrilled about. There are so many more customers to be had and existing customers being supportive if you play your cards right. Man up, just like in the battlefield, while taking the highway and looking at the stars.

Regards,
a currently happy player of For Honor, hoping for the best.
