[PC] Black squares on ground textures and flickering backgrounds

    Problem description:

Black squares appear on the ground texture and the background is flickering. This happens immediately as I spawn In game.

    Video that shows problem: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wSELIwpvt5Q

I've found out that the background flickering can disappear if I adjust the shadows from off -> Medium. Strange that one has to rise settings to not have problems...
The black boxes don't disappear no matter what settings I adjust in game or via Nvidia control panel. I've also tried reinstalling game. No help. Drivers are up-to-date and the problem has persisted even though there has been released a several driver updates since problems started.

When I bought the game it worked for some time without problems, but at some point the problems started, and I can't remember if it was a game or driver update that caused the problem... (Many weeks / months after purchasing game)

    System specs:
    - CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 T1100
    - MB: Asus M4A785TD-V Evo
    - RAM: 16GB Kingston HyperX Fury 1600 MHz DDR3
    - Graphics: Nvidia GTX 770 (MSI OC version) 2GB VRAM - https://www.msi.com/Graphics-card/N7.../Specification
    - OS: Windows 10 v.1809

No overclocking on system, everything running at stock values.
I don't believe this is hardware-related since this is the only game that has issues. Other titles like GTA V, Subnautica, World of Tanks and World of Warships work perfectly.

I have not made a ticket to Ubisoft yet.

I'd be very happy if this could be resolved, I really enjoy playing this game.

    I'm having the same problem.
I've tried reinstalling the game and clean installing drivers, but it doesn't fix it.
    What happened then?

    - MB: MSI H61MU-S01

    Fix!

I tried again to clean install the graphics drivers.
A slightly older graphics driver (NVIDIA DRIVERS GeForce Game Ready Driver 378.78) and the symptoms are perfectly fine and I have not encountered this glitch in a full day of play.
A "clean install" of the graphics driver seems to help. (Not an update.)
I tried the old drivers from when this game was released, but if you want to try a clean install, you might want to go with the new drivers first. (I'm currently working fine, so I'll just play it as is.)
If anyone has encountered the same bug, try the clean install of the graphics drivers in the FAQ on the Ubisoft Support Staff post.

By the way, I bought this game in this year's Steam Autumn Sale and it's the best military game I've ever played. I regret that I didn't buy it sooner. When I finish playing it, I'll probably buy Breakpoint as well.
