    Banning "copyrighted" player creations is unprecedented and ruining it for creators

    Banning player creations for including "copyrighted" intellectual properties is downright excessive. I've never seen a game ban player creations for references/homages to other media but more importantly with a single swing you've destroyed countless hours of creators' work. And what about people that spend currencies to buy these items?

    You're trying to encourage creators to create items for your game but many now feel hugely discouraged to do so in fear of wasting their time.

    Are people now going to have to be worried their tracks will be erased as well because they put any sort of reference to copyrighted materials on their track? Instantly killing everyones leaderboard entries for that track?

    Is there even legal precedence for this - is this truly infringing on any sort of copyright laws since it is player created content?

    After all I could put Nike logos all over my gear and show it off in multiplayer - If I don't share it It's not like the devs can delete it from my local save and still it has lots of exposure? Is it suddenly a grey area? So why is it if its shared?

    Pretty sure there a tens of thousands of custom maps in CS:GO for example that include all sorts of copyrighted materials/references not to mention being able to create spray logos with all sorts of brand logos.

    If a billion dollar company doesn't care, why do you?

    Especially on the side of gear creations it puts a huge damper on things - at this point you might as well have left this feature out of the game and put those resources into something else in the game that could have needed it - instead of creating a feature that people will be afraid/unsure to use and will have a large portion of its uses impaired by your excessive policies.

    I totally agree with this. Other games allow users to create copyrighted logos and share them but why not in Trials. Also it seems reported items even if they do not contain anything to breach the code of conduct get removed from the game entirely, meaning I cannot get my creation back. All because somebody found my creation offensive which it wasn't. The whole sharing system is a complete mess and I have not played the game since. I have to say though mind that I really do appreciate Red Lynx I am a massive Trials fan and have bought every title since Trials HD. But this game is so glitchy!!! Ahhh

    Had a message pop up yesterday about a shirt of mine. Was a simple black and white tee and I'd put a deadpool logo on the front. I've seen countless versions of it on the store and now mine is gone.

    Spent just over 10,000 gear coins to buy a spiderman suit because my son loves the character, now it's wiped and gone, money is gone, item is plain and my kid is sad.

    What's next, Redlynx? Banning people's bikes that say "Honda" on them? We've already had transparent bikes in replays because there was something offensive on the bike, what comes next, literally ruining everyone's custom stuff because of your rules?

    Did they tell you your item was banned? Most of us are just losing our items and creations due to a bug, which they have told us about.

    Yeah definitely not goin to buy any outfits (i see a lot of gears that i really want to rock now) but not worth the hassle of losing or riskin it getting banned for some reason. I can assure you, the more the time goes on by, the more creative and outlandish outfits will make their way around Rising. Still too early in the career to blow coins/acorns on any outfits while the game is still buggy. Id recommend holding off until you unlock all the tracks/stadium finale/ninjas, etc etc. Maybe mop up the rest of the achievements and hopefully by the time that comes, we wouldn't have much of issues with the gears (duplicates, risk of ban, copyright- not sure if that is a serious thing on Rising, etc etc) but yeah. The store (where you can look all the shared rider customization (highlights)) needs to have more filters such as 'highlight only those that are under 2k credits because we on a budget and the struggle is real yo' type of thing or like where you have the randomize your own inventoried items, you can also randomize all the shared customizations and if you like what you see, for example the shirt and the jacket goes well together, 'lock it' somehow then keep on randomizing the rest of the outfit like pants, shoes, etc til you get what youre looking for.

    One question ive been wondering ever since i saw that you can sell your shared gears, where do all the trials credits go? If i buy a sick outfit from some dude on the PS4, does he get the credits or do they just disappear into the unknown? Wouldn't be right if you didn't get any of the credits from selling your own customized outfits (acorns are Redlynx's currency so im excluding that. Go Capitalism!

    If im wrong about this whole thing, then disregard the post- i have not created any outfits to be shared yet and all of the credits ive spent has been on the Helium/Donkey only as of at this time.

    when you share something it tells you how much credits you get when someone downloads it, with a max cap you can get for it

    Wish they would fix track central instead banning spiderman pants.

    I am also irritated by this. The items I have shared are removed from the store but also the stickers I used are no longer applied when I try to load up the item from my garage. Completely uncalled for. Here's some advice. Instead of sucking out the fun in the game maybe try fixing the server issue on PS4 that many people are experiencing. The constant load item bug or the even worst duplication bug. My item limit is 800/800

    Just before you share your own item, it says:

    By clicking on <<Share>>, you confirm that the content you share:
    - is created only by you using Ubisoft's assets;
    -does not include any element(s) created by or belonging to any third party (e.g.logos, trademarks, designs); - does not include anything toxic, illegal or malicious for the community;
    - may be taken down (and related in-game benefits, if any, may be removed) by Ubisoft if you do not comply with these requirements :

    More details in the Content Sharing Guidelines: https://forums.ubi.com/showthread.ph...ode-of-conduct

    I agree that logo design in COD are acceptable with third party logos, but for example in Forza they also remove third-party designs.
    So looks like Ubisoft has no trademark business with Marvel or DC Comics unfortunately.
    Most real liveries have marketing licenses that are contractual.
