PS4 PRO Texture loading and other things...

    • Slow loading textures!! By far the biggest issue for me. It would take 3-5secs to load the graphics. This for me is really annoying because it’s such a beautiful looking game. Such a shame we have to stop for the textures to load in order to enjoy it properly, takes away the immersion of it all. I’m not talking about objects in the distance neither, the longest things to render is usually text no matter how close you are to it, like writing on the walls and floor. Also text written on banners, barricades and signs etc.

    • Opening loot containers would intermittently send the item straight to my inventory.

    • Audio is still and issue after a certain time played. (post launch patch awaiting)

    • Climbing down or rolling off elevated cover/obstacles would glitch out and return the agent back on top of the obstacle.

    • Related to the above, clipping through obstacles when doing the above would sometimes fall through the cover and the game would respawn the agent nearby.

    • Dark areas are too dark. I would use the flash off firing my pistol in order to see. Adjust brightness.

    • Falling animation of fellow agents in safe areas.

    • Weapon talent on the SRS (can’t remember the name) where equipping a scope over 8x magnification requirement would activate the talent but with a 12x scope attached it didn’t activate.

    • Accepting a player invite from an agent in the LZ (from solo) when in the DZ text would stick on the left side of the screen.

    • Joining a friend again from the DZ as above. We were unable to clear Control points because we couldn’t fire a flare for npc’s to assist.

I pretty much got all these as well and I am on the base PS4. The rendering was awful. Tons of objects, signs, truck decals , white house and settlements were all a blur.

    Thanks, @Malakye75 for confirming that.

Did you happen to get any images or videos of the issues?

Sadly, No. i did not. One of the worst rendering issues would be any sort of street sigh, box truck signs, those little coffee shop folding type street signs. I would stay in place and look at it for up to a minute before it rendered.

This is not my YouTube content, but shows an example of what my entire experience was on ps4.

It is exactly as the user above stated. Street signs, walls, the road. More textures were blurred in my screen than were loaded correctly.

If any other evidence is needed on the issue, I have much more videos, for example the one here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KDYctDazZNo

From the video, it is clearly visible that time is not affecting the load of the textures, as the ground texture does not load even when standing near the spot for quite a long period of time. But it very slowly pops-in when player moves to the affected spot. Seems like you have some bug in texture loading queue / priority. This happens mostly with signs and labels,as these seems to be low priority textures in the queue. There is anyway much more evidence over these forums as this issue is reported periodically since private beta, alas it has not been fixed or acknowledged in known issues since then, which brings some concerns.
