    Control Point Purpose?

I don't know if im missing something but in regards to control points im not sure why i should bother supplying them water / food / screws. Is there any consequence if you just ignore them? From all i can tell there is a Perk you can unlock that gives you 10 minutes of 20m detection when you donate. But is that it? Is there any other purpose for donating? I have yet to loose a control point which is what i first assumed, you had to maintain them to keep them, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Agreed, it is nice they are adding things in the open world to do and maintain but it seems like donating might only give EXP ? After 30 whats the point, unless it can give you EXP to add to your Specialization unlocks.

Here is an idea, something to give you something to do...

You have to keep them stocked, because if their supplies reach 0 then the control point is over taken by enemy and you would have to recapture it again. But supplies should only be subtracted when you are online, not when you aren't playing the game. Then as long as you have all of your control points under control, and they have not been taken back, then you should have some kind of a stats bonus so its in your interest to maintain them. Nothing too crazy to make game unplayable if you don't have control of all your control points. But something small like maybe carry extra armor kits, extra ammo, granted extra loot on drops, or maybe being able to call in reinforcements to help fight on street level skirmishes (not missions).

Supplying them goes along with some percs that will show you more stuff/collectibles/chests on the map. Also, seemed like after i 100%'d one of the control points a bounty popped up on my screen.

The more rpg mechanics the better. In terms of thing to do and loot.

Division 1 had very little to do after 30. They are trying to fix that here. As others have stated the more you can do later on the better.

Maybe they end up having some other impact later on in the game as well.

You will lose control of them if they are starved for resources. The game never bothers to tell you this.

Games these days don't seem to care if you understand anything. They rely too much on the "community" to dissect the game and disseminate information.

The information they do give you, just barely scratches the surface. A series of 3 tiles, mostly taken up by "pretty pictures", is no where near enough information to get into the nuances of a game mechanic.

There needs to be some kind of in-game Codex that actually has useful information about mechanics.

They start as red. When you clear the enmies, it turns white. When you call for reinforcements (flare gun), they will walk up and then it will turn green. From that point you can donate to the officer. Some objectives require you to donate a certain number of items, unlocking different perks from characters for the white house, to revolving bounties. They will fall to the enemy if left unchecked. At the very least, they're something to fast travel to.
