    Colour/brightness terrible, stuttering gameplay

I have just finished Far Cry 5 (89 hours) and went straight into New Dawn on the same PC. I expected the exact same look as I was used to with 5 - it is the same place after all!

    But:

    1. In FC5 Hope County looked photo realistic, with this it looks totally artificial. (Whose idea was it to make it so pink?!). After lots of testing I currently have the brightness on 80 (!), Gamma on 40 and Contrast on 40 as about the best I can get, but it still looks awful.

My point is FC5 looked like a real world place on default settings on the same rig.

    2. Same graphic settings but this is hammering my 4gb geforce card: using over 4Gb of VRAM where FC5 used approx 3.

    3. I updated my geforce drivers to latest yesterday but still getting stuttering: driving and when firing a weapon. This is really disappointing as it makes it totally non-immersive.

Probably down to the aforementioned maxing out of VRAM perhaps?

    Disappointed

    Hey there eg0912!

Could you please try some of the steps in this FAQ for troubleshooting on PC just in case it may be something simple that can be fixed in no time!

Let me know how you get on with these, it;s possible that the VRAM being exhausted is causing a majority of these issues but let's rule out anything else first

Thanks. I'll run through that and also tweak settings in the game and report back.

My system isn't high end but it ran FC5 sweetly with most of the good stuff on Ultra or High etc:

    Win 10 64bit
    16Gb RAM
    Geforce GTX950M 4Gb VRAM

As the published min spec is the same for both games then I expected it to run the same. The main immediate difference though is that VRAM is maxed out which it wasn't on FC5.

My specs. Intel i5 2500k 3.4ghz, Asus GTX 1060 6gb Graphics card, 16gb of ram Windows 10 64 bit. I get random stutters and lockups in New Dawn. Once they clear the game runs pretty good. I have been through Ubisoft Support and done everything that they asked me to try with no result. They have now passed my issue over to the dedicated team to sort out whoever they are.

I have given the .exe priority in task manager, tweaked the Nvidia control panel settings and currently no difference.

I will set all the graphics settings to low and see if it still stutters. If it does then I think this is a bug rather than a PC spec issue, but we shall see. I will report back.

Okay, so everything set to low, I am getting average 63 fps, and still getting the stuttering.

It is not like an intense firefight or anything, just walking along the road or whatever it will stop for a microsecond.

VRAM use is still high (3.78gb out of a total of 3.96) which seems odd with everything set so low. On FC5 on this same laptop it only used 2.2gb with everything on Ultra.
