What's the best way to level up in this game? I'm completely stuck in the career mode at the moment and I tell you why. Currently I have completed every race available. With the exception of 3 Hard tracks I have gold medal on all of them. I have also completed most of the (extremely frustrating) contracts. The ones I have left are simply impossible to me, given the conditions they give me. There are probably around 8-10 contracts left on the whole map which I can't complete.
Now, I'm level 70. In order to unlock the next stadium races I have to reach level 79. How do I get 9 more levels at this point when I can't improve / complete anything else?
I figured you can do multiplayer races. OK. One multiplayer session (3 races) gives you 300 XP. In order to gain 9 more levels I need around 90000 XP. So that means if I can't do anything in Career, I would have to complete 300 multiplayer races so I could progress in Career. Seriously, who designed this system? This is not only the worst grind in all Trials games but one of the worst balanced progression systems I've seen in any game (and I've played a lot). This is hugely disappointing, unless there is an effective way to gain XP which I don't know of.
"Do the contracts, RedBull ones get you a lot of xp."
He's just said he can't do them.
Dreampage - I'm pretty much in your exact situation.
Check my post in this theread - https://forums.ubi.com/showthread.ph...9#post13997269
As I say in that post - if I can't do those contracts that's effectively game over. Now, I'm 100% certain I will be able to get through the contracts I need but I really feel for you because you are just stuck in no mans land through no fault of your own.
Your original post proves this game is broken.
.
The challenges in Fusion were a optional side-challenge to the main game - this one makes completeing them a fundemental requirement to progressing in the game.
And if you can't do them, like Dreampage...the answer is....? Answers on a postcard.
What an absolutely bizarre decision this was.
My point is pretty simple - if you have done virtually everything the games asks of you and you are still locked out of the rest of it then the game is fundementally f**ked.Ok so he can replay the track like any normal person would, or does he need a special post for that too.
I have never seen anything like this before.
Imagine Super Mario Brothers 3 on the NES, but instead of getting to the castle at the end after going through all the levels the game makes you loop back around again beating the same stages you've already aced. That would be really fun wouldn't it? Oh wait..no. No it wouldn't.
Well, that's what's happening here and it's beyond credulity that someone signed off on this thinking it was a good idea.
I’m not sure if it’s complete incompetence that made them set the game up like this, or there was another motive. My theory is they were going to have XP boosters. The game seems set up to have predatory microtransactions flooding it, but after all the recent controversies with microtransactions I think They pulled them and just didn’t rebablance the game. Scum
Red Bull gives the most insane missions. I could do a few of them but I can't possibly complete tracks without leaning at all. On another instance, I should win a stadium race while not releasing the gas and doing 14 backflips.Originally Posted by mmorgan5066 Go to original post
I am at level 73 now but it's still really far off. I also have gold medal now on every track. This is seriously not right.
I've already bought the Helium but that sponsor gives very little (500 XP for most contracts). I haven't yet bought the Donkey but I really have no intention to play clown on that thing, it's also very hard to control, not enjoyable at all. I don't know why the career can't progress naturally. Completing every track with gold medal should clearly unlock the rest, it's not like I'm a bad player. I have A+ on most University lessons, too, gold on most skill games... In my opinion they really blew this.Originally Posted by Yell0wTaped Go to original post
I think medals should be given a greater XP reward. In previous games if you had to go back and replay tracks to get enough medals to progress, you at least felt that you were gaining skills that would serve you for the rest of the game. The contracts feel largely unrelated to general trials skill, and instead have their own unique set of skills involving how to maximize flips or ride without releasing the gas. They can be interesting challenges in their own right, but the game places too large an emphasis on them.
Dreampage, if it's any help, I think a lot of the contracts just need to be cheesed. Find ramps where you can stop and do flips, find easy places to do wheelies, anything that can simplify the requirements. I hope this road block doesn't put you off of continuing with the game. There's a lot of rewarding challenge once you get past the contract stuff. (And the donkey may be for clowns, but that doesn't mean it's not enjoyable)
