If the devs are open to feedback here are my thoughts

I just finished my 2nd play through of New Dawn. While its disappointing that it was so short I enjoyed myself. Heres what I found playing the game and hope the devs will consider if making another in the Farcry series.

    The good:

-The addition of a base was the single best addition to Farcry. It was fun gave us a reason to play and someplace to go back to and work on through out the game when I wanted to do something other than grind a mission out. Id like to see the base in future titles and hopefully the idea expanded on a bit with more customization.

-Gun play as always was excellent in the game and I enjoyed the need for different levels of weapons for tougher enemies. This felt like good progression all be it too fast.

-The outposts increasing in difficulty and the ability to abandon them for a higher tier next time was also a fantastic addition. Id like to see this in the future as well.

-The treasure hunts. You know the 10 green diamond locations on the map. Those were some of my favorite aspects to the game. I like the puzzles you need to solve in order to learn a sequence or find a door etc. Id like to see more puzzles and slightly more difficult. Not much though. Those always have a great sense of accomplishment after solving it on your own.

-The world again looked stunning and locations felt unique enough.

    The not so good:

-I didnt like the expeditions. In theory the idea sounds nice but I didnt find them fun and skipped them altogether. Maybe it was just a poor implementation, I dont know.

-I hated at the end where it forced me to kill Joseph. Dont ever take control away from the character for a glorified cut scene. That felt awful. Maybe I wanted to kill him with dynamite or a knife take down or something else. Forcing a pistol kill was a huge let down for me.

-Vehicle movement looked and felt awful (but sounded good) Driving a vehicle with a cheep janky camera shake effect felt HORRIBLE. I hated driving in this game.

-The safes in this game were such a let down and so dull. Always the same item in them Even though I needed it I hated cracking them open knowing what waits inside. Mix it up guys.

-The smaller map and less to do did make me feel as though I wasted my money or the price was set to high even though I enjoyed the game.

Im sure I can add a lot more to both of these lists but this is what stood out to me most, both good and bad. I hope you guys consider these when making the next Farcry.

For God's sake at least give warning if you're going to include major spoilers to what otherwise seemed like a mere gameplay critique.

MODS SHOULD NOT ALLOW THIS ON SUCH A NEW GAME!!!

LOL If you dont want spoilers avoid social media, and stay off official forums. No one forced you to read it all. You're an adult capable of making these choices. Act like it.

Disagree. Please have the decency to include [spoiler alert] in the title.

Ditto! And while you're at it, learn some common forum etiquette instead of acting like an entitled snob.

You had the option to not press the button. This would have let him live and you could then walk away or kill him in any way you liked.
I guess you were too impatient to see him die

If you have played the other Farcry games, you should have expected that there are other options (the same happens in FC3 where you have a choice at the end; in FC4, it's the exact opposite, you are told to sit tight and not do anything, but you can - and should - move; in FC5, you have to arrest the Father but can choose not to etc.)

You enjoyed the game becuase of smaller map and less to do also! That was important component of your enjoyement! Map is to the point. Pretty spot-on! Not so big and not so small - cosy. The less things to do also good. I like some emptiness of location. It makes the game more realistic. The worst thing is - oversaturation of the open world. That's exactly what I didn't like in FC4 and FC5. MESS! Chaotic game as one big madhouse. It seems that developers has only one dogma - something must always happen in the open world, gamers shouldn't be bored. But action will be more sensitive against the background of calm! Always action only dulls the sense of action. Contrast is needed. Action - calm, tranquillity - action. Enemies shouldn't chase you everywhere! Because in the forest we also have enemies - predators. Returning to map.....I think game needs not some super big map, oversaturated with "interesting places" and actions but game needs space. In other words, map shouldn't be dense but vast. It should be spacious. Not tight. It should take some time - to get from point A to point B. Not so fast. Let us feel the space!
