I always here Professor Fat Shady talking about competitions he participated in back in HD and Evolution. He always says the competitions were on "the forums". Do people regularly hold competitions here on the Ubi forum? Or am I looking in the wrong place?

No, he's talking about the old official Redlynx forums. They had some competitions back then (like zero fault "Marathon" in Trials HD). You may find some Infos with the search bar since (most/all?) content from back then has been migrated here.
