Stadium Opponents - Who Are They?

First of all, I'm a seasoned Trials player. Played every game from HD and I love the series. I'm not ninja level, but I'm generally good enough to get gold on every track (maybe only silver on some of the extreme). I'm having horrible problems with the opponents in the stadiums.

    1) On my first attempt I completed the first three stadiums getting 1st place in them all. Then I thought I'd go back to retry Schoolyard Brawl, trying to earn platinum. Apart from one rider, I can't even get close to the first six riders. I'm easily getting gold and close to platinum times, but it's not even remotely good enough to qualify in the first round (finishing 7 / 8). This means that the stadiums are not replayable because unless you qualify then it doesn't save your time, even if I earned platinum, How is the game picking these riders? Can anything be done to make the game fair?

    2) I unlocked the stadium final in Siberia. First round is not a problem. I can consistently finish in 1st place, but I can't even get close to the winner of the 2nd round. As I'm coming over the final obstacle he is passing the finish line. Again, I'm close to (if not earning) a platinum time, but I can't beat the fastest opponent. How am I suppose to unlock the "No Contest" achievement/trophy? Has the challenge been deliberately designed this way to ensure that only a tiny percentage of players earn it or is the game way out of balance?

There's no doubt the KTM sponsor contract "finals" are out of whack. There's nothing a player can do about it since there's no way to sandbag. You'll note that the KTM contract (which opens the actual "Stadium Finals") does not trigger to become available until the player gets a minimum of gold on the X-Cross, Supercross, and Duel tracks. This leaves me to believe that it's this way by design, no way it missed testing. I too find it a bit crazy that an "Easy" stadium final can be harder to pass than a fault-free extreme track but it's the cards we've been dealt.

The reason its so hard is because it adds a competitive element to it the stadium finals are there to unlock grand finales (which you get for completing 9 stadium finals.) where the grand finale is the hardest stadium.

This is bs! I got gold on a stadium track and i won easily. I think my opponent was Top Canine.
Now when I come back to this track, mr Top Canine is gone and the game puts me against xxNovaStarxx or something. He is nr 1 player on the leaderboards! LMAO, so I need to get a world record to get a better medal!? Thats a huge design flaw I think.

I think some of you guys are missing the point here. Unless you’re an elite rider (which I and most are not) then you can’t post an improved time on reruns of the stadium races 1-3 (not finals) as the opponents are some of the best players in the world.

It’s been noted many times by many players and surely will be fixed in a patch.

It’s not about it not being fun, it’s pretty much unplayable.

I get that it's meant to be challenging, and, although I'd be disappointed to hear that there was an elite level achievement for beating every stadium final, I might be willing to accept that. After all, Trials is one of the few games I will always play even though I know I won't get every achievement. However, I'm a pretty decent player and easily get golds, winning every round on my first fun through the stadiums I've played so far. Yet, I can't even beat the first EASY stadium final. Even if I fluke a win - unlikely - I'm not going to have a chance to beat the medium / hard ones that eventually unlock. Now I'm hearing that I need to beat every stadium final to unlock grand finals, which are going to be even harder, this is an absolute joke!

This seems horribly unbalanced and has introduced an element to the core part of the game - that is, the part of the game that every player, good and bad are expected to play - that is way beyond anything but ninja level players. Hopefully, the devs will realise this soon and patch it. Yes, I want a challenge, but it needs to be reasonable.

It’s definately out of whack. The opponents fluctuate from novices to world record performers.

Well, I hope they leave it in the game for the sake of someone having to play MY ghost/time. Id love to see someone come on here and b*tch about not being able to beat some dude named GreatWhiteShark on here.
