What changes did you like, because I am having the exact opposite impression. Skills are too borked to even get into (being a skill build I am seriously thinking to avoid the game [chem launcher is a whole new level of disappointing]), glitches are so much worse, had a heavy just non stop rush punch me and could never get away, random explosions hitting me...... I am thinking to just play Anthem......... ****ing Anthem......

Wasn't happy at all after the private beta. Open beta feels more real, at least for what I saw till now. I went up to level 7 in the private and now in the open, I think the readjustments are scalable and make the game better. There are on the other hand some things that I still consider worse than in TD1. The new skills, the chem launcher or certain drone options per example, are way too complex to put in motion. It takes too much time while in combat to select and sometimes push multiple buttons. This must be corrected and simplified, otherwise we'll stick to TD1 primary skill functions.
What also bothers me a lot is the fact that the game is sold as to having a more strategic approach to combat than TD1.
So tell me where is the strategy when you are trying to approach a group of NPC with your amazing sniper riffle but as soon as they see you, they rush on you like a squad of sick kamikaze pilots dive on an unfortunate aircraft carrier. That's no strategy. That's just simple BS since no normally minded opponent would do that. And since you cannot heal yourself instantaneously anymore, you are most of the time f-cked.
In other words, if the game (please read the developer) wants to kill you, it (he) can any time, with ease and no remorse by simply programming a mad NPC, like the TD1 LMB rushers who I saw multiple times kill 3 players at once in 1 sick melee attack. This is ridiculous in TD1 and it still is in TD2.
So, I think the game is on the right track, but still needs some adjustments. I really hope it's not going to take 8 patches to become better.
I also feel the game improved from the Private Beta.
But i must mention something i dislike, the auto-aiming for the sniper rifles, honestly felt much better in Division 1 when you could choose when to use the scope and when not to. In sum, i just took my scope out from my sniper rifle, this way is much more useful.
I love D1 but this one not so much. It feels more cartoonish. Everyone is one of 2 characters. There is no changing your face so you can't be individual. There is less control of every weapon. Devs said they fixed the bullet sponges, yet it seems these fully armored guys are more of bullet sponges then ever. Not only that but there is less ammo dropped which means you die. And end game is to hard to play with crappy gear and weapons. We tried for over an hour to pass the end game mission but couldn't get passed the courtyard.
Guns suck which requires you to get close then all 15 enemies jump out and shoot you and you die. I know you can around different angles to kill them all. The fact that you took the lvoa which was auto in D1 and made it semi auto in D2 sucks as well.
Also the respawning.. terrible. You respawn right where your character is means you respawn right in the middle of the action with 6 enemies standing over you. Meaning your about to f...in die again.
I didn't play D1 until about 3 months ago but that is a great game. It may take 3 years for this to be a great game but I will not be buying this in it's current state.
Just keep your moneys in your pockets.Originally Posted by MutantCowboy x Go to original post![]()
Glad you like it now , but i do not see what has changed ?? . the open beta makes the game feel unloved and broken ?. I thought this would be better showing how good the game could be and should be.. They fixed a few bad graphics but that looks about all .. but I am also looking forward to playing the full game , but the mess this is i will just play the story then back to the REAL division . the first one...Originally Posted by Lazaruz6 Go to original post
What you are saying isnt accurate. It was established since the Private Beta that character customization will be only available in the final game, not on any of the Betas.Originally Posted by ChristianLife21 Go to original post
Related to "bullet-sponges", i find that is normal that Bosses are hard to kill, because... well... They are Bosses, and they are supposed to be tough.
About the end-game mission: The gear you are using, isnt really end-game... Mostly you carry purple stuff, so for the real end game will be different because you will have more customization options and surely better gear. Honestly, the final mission isnt that hard.
Anyways, you have your opinion and your feeling about the game, and is as valid as my opinion. I hope you give it another try, and take in consideration the stuff i tried to clarify... This is just a Beta, and is not the final game.
Best of luck.
