🛈 Announcement
Greetings! The Division forums are now archived and accessible in read-only mode, please go to the new platform to discuss the game

Nothing about the way the DZ works now makes sense lore wise. Your agent can go rogue then become un-rogue and everyone in the game seems cool with that. That makes no sense lore wise. It's not like SHD can't tell who has disavowed SHD. They literally announce it so they would know who went rogue right away.

Gentleman's agreement. If you can survive long enough and push a button on a machine, all is forgiven.

The lore argument for the DZs is on the cut & paste list of responses the elitist fee throw out to none PvP players in the DZ.

I don't think anyone wants to be rogue indefinitely, even those that regularly go rogue. I say this because you'll constantly be handicapped. Your progression would constantly be inflicted by players trying to kill you, you wouldn't even be able to leave the DZ, with the turrets and all. You'd be ****ed.

Thinking about it realistically doesn't make sense, therefore it should not be thought about realistically.

    "Transmissions jammed. Proximity coverage only."

They can't tell because you do not have any contact with SHD whilst in the DZ, therefore anyone can be rogue at anytime.

Transmissions aren't jammed in TD2. If they were, you wouldn't be able to communicate with the tutorial girl.

They were specifically being jammed only in TD1.

You are connected to the SHD-network in TD2. It's what prevents you from hurting other agents until you hack it(going Rogue animation).

So technically, the guy isn't wrong. It doesn't make sense lorewise. Then again, it doesn't have to. People not being recognized as permanent Rogues(and possibly pledging allegiance to Aaron Keener) makes as much sense as your guy respawning when he is dead. We can only do so much with the game.

Well I imagine that agents are familiar with the SHD systems that they can keep them selves undetected by it and the mask you wear would make it hard to be identified outside the zone.
    That could be an explanation.
