They haven't said how. They just said "hey, solo dz is a thing", but never detailed how it's gonna work.Originally Posted by randmanqq Go to original post
The current description indicates that you will still be able to "form groups" in this solo queue, which contradicts the idea of it being a solo queue and is the main concern about the idea. Per this description, if forming groups means officially inviting players to a group, it needs to change to where group inviting is disabled or if it is still enabled, then a group of two would need to be transferred to a non-solo server.
You can form groups in the DZ.Originally Posted by Millenium_Exile Go to original post
The moment you form a group you see the message 'Transferring server in 00:06.....' and 'Boom', you're in the server you belong, ie the group server where you continue your DZ activities, leaving the solo queue DZ intact.
Simple.
I don't think the goal is to stop unofficial (rogue) grouping, because, honestly, I don't think it will happen much compared to how often you run into official groups in a normal dz. Plus:Originally Posted by SUB---MOA Go to original post
- Lockpicked DZ chest loot, stolen Supply drops, and other rogue related rewards aren't shared.
- Players in an unofficial group aren't immune from each other's bullets or grenades, or even moments where skills auto target.
- Not to mention if those players end up as manhunt, they'll likely have to separate.
I can give you that!! Let's see how all of this plays out, so far the game is coming together pretty nicely.Originally Posted by Merphee Go to original post

1. Are you saying that's a bad thing?
2. How would that really be different to the group dz?
3. It's still preferable fighting 1v4 solos than 1vgroup.
4. Isn't that how it's supposed to work?
5. That being said if I'm in the solo dz and see a rogue fighting several players I'm most likely going to flag rogue too and give them a hand.
Pretty much this. This exact scenario is where the fun of a solo DZ lives for me - flagging rogue when everyone else is distracted. Simply knowing they're not in an official group makes PVP in the DZ a lot more tolerable because I know I can't get outnumbered from behind if I'm PVEing and instantly be at a disadvantage.Originally Posted by DaveyJaye Go to original post
Solo DZ puts more emphasis on the "trust no one" line more than a normal DZ being roamed by groups. It gives you a lot more confidence to go rogue because you'll have an even playing field.
