I just wish I had not pre ordered this game because it is literally nothing like the division 1 except that the graphics & most of what is on the map looks samey as d. where is the fun? I was in a group but there was literally no point of being in a group because you cant do anything in a group that you cant do solo. builds dont even exist beyond a crossbow, rubbish grenade launcher or a sniper rifle....not builds in my opinion. this game is a big disappointment, im going to try & cancel my pre order. its slow boring gameplay, may as well be playing any other shooter, the loot is rubbish. I knew it would end up like destiny 2. not that I know anything but they should have invented completely new gear sets & exotics ….proper ones not stupid rubbish 'brands' I cant even be bothered to say anything else about it
There are new gear sets and exotics, just not in the beta

I think the buffs and debuffs are pretty well set for good reasons extended mag for example yes you get bigger clip but slower rate of fire , the other guy has smaller clip but faster rate makes for interesting diversity in builds to cater to different skilled players.. bad aim ? Extended clip / good confident aim ? Small clip faster rate of fire .. reload speed lower for higher headshot damage means you know you can’t just reel shots off and that you need to be accurate because your reload sucks .. it seems everything is all going to be down to you your skill and preference while limiting op stuff like 60mag super fast rate of fire lazer AR from td1

The mod system still needs work. It's not as bad as what was in the private beta but there are still mods that are just flat out ridiculous. Loading up the end game characters confirms this. Some of the mods just flat out cancel each other out. They make no sense.

I hope there is a bigger picture here because the way weapon mods are handled in the beta are extremely bad

    1. I never did that.
    2. What we needed was the cap to be lifted on your stash. The artificial storage cap was moronic, as it is in every game.
    3. Yes, I want to have that many options. I want to be able to tweak the stats of my favorite guns on the fly. I want that feeling of a great mod drop back and I want the debuffs removed so mods are actually useful again.

The new mods are slightly better. Which is "good".
But some of them have weird bonus/malus combinations: some of you are mentioning the +% round / -ROF, I can add the laser which actually lowers accuracy.
UBI is on the good path, they need to tweak things a bit more.

Well nobody used 12% crit damage over 120% magazine size since one gives more than double of your magazine, so massive DPS boost, same deal with "one is none" being mandatory to kill enemies because they were balanced around high rof weapons with over 60 bullets magazines headshots only, go ask anyone if extended mag was not the best overall mod option. The problem with the current system is simply that the downsides are too great, and some combinations are just weird. But the previous system was one of the reasons the game was riddled with bullet sponges because extended mags with one is none was the norm

I was really let down by the new modes in the closed beta and when I heard that they had heard that peple were not happy and made changes I was really excited to play the open beta............

    What a let down.

I really enjoy the game but 95% of the time the mods are just not worth using. It and them turn some of the guns I loved with high higher rates in semi auto are the only let downs I have with Div 2

Just tossing in my vote for not liking the new mod system.
How is it that you loose stability by adding something to the muzzle? More weight counters kick back.

Mod balances so they'd suit a play style better

I feel that some mods don't make much sense. Mods like the sniper scope are fine where you trade reload speed for headshot damage. But some of the the sights where you trade optimal range for accuracy are kinda contradictory cuz you'd want accuracy so you can stay on target at further ranges but it then decreases you optimal range so now you do less damage. Things like the holo sight are great thou, trading headshot damage for crit so you are put more towards a crit body shot build. It'd be nice to see more mods tweaked to fit the specific playstyle the buff is catered to.
