Can someone play inuit Kenny and Hermes Kenny and have both on screen at the same time?

If you mind controlled one of them, then yes they can play the second card while the first is still under mind control, then when it returns to their control they have both.

However there is no other way to have 2 at the same time.

I thought that move had been taken out in the last update?
Or is it in the talk stage still?

No other card was played because the game had just started

In that case yep should be impossible - you can't play 2 of the same character at the same time.
