I had enough prestige points saved for three crates and earned one more for the challenges this update. Ironically, with that total of four crates, I received four duplicates even though it had been stated the chances were improved.

Curious if anyone else has seen any difference in drop rates.

I just completed Daily Challenges Day 6/7 Challenge 2 and received five Prestige crates, three of them were duplicates,
This is getting ridiculous, what's the point of doing any of these challenges when you get duplicate rewards

The drop rates they changed are for the mix of epic, rare, and legendary items. They don't control the chance of a duplicate, that's dictated by how much stuff you already have. For example, if there are 500 items in the crate pool and you have 100 items left to get from Prestige crates, you have an 80% chance of a duplicate being dropped when you open a prestige crate. If you don't get a duplicate, then the drop rates they adjusted for item rarity come into play.

The corollary to all this, is as you get more stuff, it gets hard and harder to get more stuff.

I got 3 duplicates from those prestige crates as well. At least now we get credits daily instead of weekly, and we get spec ops crates more frequently that guarantee new items. I do suspect though that all the best items like icons and weapons are somehow in the very last crates.
