Haven't tested that much Mk16 ... but as far as I noticed: there's some funny bs in description, it sais that Mk16 is a Mk17 chambered in 5.56 (o.O)
    Range is pretty good.
But! For some unknown reason it can not use magazines larger than 30 (o.O)

As for FAL. It is available for use in Guerilla mode from wave 5 (if I'm not mistaken, but the guns you get are randomized within some predefined pools, so you may not get it). And ... well ... 9mm C1 submachinegun is far superior. Gun jumps to the sides, and I can not say that the damage it does somehow good for 7.62 even for this game.

The DD stock is a huge turnoff for me. Anyway it does have single fire, yes?

Comprable to the M4 and 416.

Not BS entirely. Instead of buying the SCAR-L as a separate weapon, SOCOM opted instead for 5.56 caliber conversion kits for the SCAR-H.

    Here's a caliber-converted SCAR-H being used by a Ranger.

Despite the source website and picture url labeling it a SCAR-L, you can distinguish it as a SCAR-H by the longer ejection port.

For me it is down to aethetics. I like AR platform rifles, while I don't like SCAR platform rifles. So I was happy to take another AR platform. I was really pleasantly surprised at the accuracy and damage. I also really like the sound effect for suppressed fire, it actually sounds more like suppressed fire than a movie sound effect. I also like the noise profile in that I can be relatively close to enemies when I fire and not immediately alert them.

When I get sufficient resources I'll level it up to 30 and then pick some fights in Tier 1.

I enjoy using both about equally, so I've been jumping back and forth between them. The Mk 18 is definitely the better choice for stealth gameplay with it being quieter when suppressed. Both it and the 416 have the same level of sound reduction according to the stats, but I think it's wrong and the the Mk 18 is actually quieter. I infiltrated the Unidad base in Itacua (the one where you interrogate the captain) at night and shot one guy inside a tent. The shot woke the guy in the tent right next to the one I was in, but the rest all slept like babies. The 416 would have woke at least the neighboring three tents.

Yeah, with the amount of peoples preferences leaning towards the mk18, I may just go for that. Appreciate all the helpful details everyone
