    Daniel Defense MK18 Mod 1 so far....

    Alright alright alright.... where to begin - okay having been issued an M4A1 and had a MK18 upper as an alternate weapon, I've been waiting for this in the game. Yes, it should have been available since day one (remember that for the next game), the I absolutely LOVE THIS WEAPON, it just MURDERS ☠☠👊👊👊! I mean I'm dropping UNIDAD and cartel heavies with 2-3 shots even when they're alerted, which usually takes 4-5 with other rifles.

    As far as stats go, it does twice the amount of damage than the HK416 and MK17 (two of the strongest powered assault rifles in game) with short and standard barrels. It still does 25% more damage than the HK with the long barrel. The only advantage the HK w/long barrel has over the MK18 is slightly better range. It also does twice the amount of damage of the M4A1 with the long barrel attached. For now until the FN FAL gets added, no other assault rifle can hold a candle to it in terms of damage potential. Or the solid balance of it when factoring range, accuracy, and penetration. It is simply the BEST now in the assault rifle category.

    The MK18 mod 1 is just a beast in game. Definitely pairing it with the M9 for a great combo. I tried to do my best to set it up how we ran them, or as close to (I'll try to post pics later). The vertical grip, peq15/atpial (game puts it at the 3 o'clock position instead of 12), and EoTech (tempted to put the Aimpoint or Elcan/Digital Scope on it instead). Would be cool if the EoTech 553 was in game, but the EXPS3 which is current issue and replaced the 553, will do. Might substitute the CompM4 and AFG grip on it. Sub 200/250m, THIS is the weapon to have! For nostalgia, I'm going to be running this with the M9.

    Appearance wise, it seems that it was modeled on the commercial version on Daniel Defense's website. That's cool, no biggie, it's good enough for me. Thank you Ubisoft for getting this one right, well done!

    ***Now I don't have to use the HK416 with short barrel anymore as a fill in haha.

    At least it's not as bad as the G28 being modeled with a 5.56 receiver. XD

    I upgard mk18 to lv30 in Tier01 difficulty. I used to use MDR, and I don't feel much diffrence when I use mk18 about its damage. And I'm pretty sure its firing rate is not as low as its status shows. So I think this gun's status is wrong. After all, this isn't the first gun which has fake status in this game (yeah I'm saying the SR25 jungle).

    I didn't buy the Mk18, but I have used it twice in the last phases of Guerrilla Mode. It is definitely a BEAST. One thing to note is that the vertical recoil starts a few bullets later than most rifles, very similar to the LVOA. I'm going to try get via crates.

    Are the ballistics pretty similar to the m4a1?

    Also, does anyone know anything about the mk16?

    The bullet drop isn't bad with it out to 200m, pretty flat trajectory in first 100. Haven't messed with the MK16 yet, but might just out of curiosity.

    Been trying to find footage of both but nothing yet. Mainly searching for damage and good bullet velocity (not suppressed p416 slow)

    I just spent the night doing a lot of testing by shooting the same type of vehicle and testing it on multiple different types of vehicle sets. Made a check point in a heavy intersection and had some fun. This is the closest to a damage test I can find in the game. These are my findings:

    -mk16 is slightly lower damage than the mk17, with the mk17 consistently taking less shots to disable vehicles.
    -mk18 damage claims have been far overblown. MK17 still does significantly more damage(as it should being a 7.62) for example: on a heavy white flatbed truck the MK18 took about 30 shots, with a variation of 1 bullet. MK17 was around half.
    -mk18 damage seems to be on par with the mk16.
    -mk16 surprised me, unexpectedly being my favorite of all the new guns, it looks by far the best and IMO now one of the best looking guns in the game with plenty of customization options unlike the other new weapons.

    But damage to vehicle abd damage to people are not the same thing for this game.

    Not bad. Damage to enemies and bullet velocity suppressed/unsuppressed?
