I disagree with this. We cant compare FH with Apex. Apex has benchmark: Fortnite and PUBG. They suceed because they can fix the wrong aspects in Fortnite and PUBG. Plus its FPS. Its a genre that already popular since 90's. Respawn had a lot of study material from past games.Originally Posted by ChampionRuby50g Go to original post
On the other hand FH has no benchmark. The only game that has similarity with FH before its release maybe Dynasty Warrior. Theres a lot of hack and slash games out there, but the mechanics is far too different with FH. Ubi created this game from scratch with their own ideas and help from community. FH is unique and the only competitor now is Absolver imo. Absolver cant even compete with FH. Its far inferior to FH.
Additionally any FPS game is balanced innately by the fact that thore core concept (shooting things) operates exactly the same on all characters. Taking FPS balancing into for honor would be like making everyone conquerors and then having them only different based on feat choices and perk choices. that's it. and yeah that'd be balanced I guess..............................\-/('-'\-/

Characters that are S or A tier getting nerf and unable to fight against a Black Prior. OP characters like Black Prior and Jiang Jun. Change in revenge making me practically useless in fighting more than one person and easy to kill. Berserker's new animations, and lack of focus on old characters rather than new.
I wish Ubi would work more on old characters and STOP working on NEW characters. It is sad to see characters like Highlander, Centurion, Raider, and Berserker not worked on and have a PAY TO WIN system to get new OP characters to stomp any competition.
Ubi has made Berserker's moves a little more predictable with his new animations. He's easier to parry now, and has a very basic moveset. If they would give away some of the hyper armor, add faster heavies, and more openers I'm sure he would be S tier and not too difficult to deal with while making him pretty strong instead of a hyper armor beast.
For Highlander I want 500ms lights, counter guardbreak when in offensive mode, and not so much tracking on grab so you can mix it up with the heavy into kick into grab or just grab more often than relying on just kick grab. (To make people who say Highlander is OP less frustrating/frustrated.)
For Raider I want more hyper armor, faster heavies, and at least one more opener. I also want a little chip to his heavy damage down a little bit and his bull's charge to be able to be hit out of or more delayed.
For Centurion I want more openers, a new combo, and hyper armor in mid heavy. Nerf delayed kick and stamina damage when out of stam.
Otherwise For Honor will just drive me away more and more. I was a loyal fan until they became so much more into new characters and less communicative with their fan base. It hurts and it kills me to say it, but I'll never buy another one of their games if developers and staff don't listen to their fan base. The people who play and give their game a chance.
That's all. Thanks for listening and reading. (Be respectful. Come up with ideas. If you want to nerf something, give something back. Thanks!)

The perk system did it for me personally. I still play occasionally, but I've lost all incentive to rep up my characters because higher quality gear is no longer objectively better than lower quality gear and, depending on base perk activation values, can be objectively worse. I have chars with 72GS builds with 2 active perks and chars with 180GS builds with none. The lack of incentive to rep up chars and loot gear means that the game has to stand on it's merits from a pure gameplay perspective and for me personally, it falls short.
Mordhau is just around the corner though, so fingers crossed it's not awful...
