to the developers: great job for a fantastic game
I am a big fan of the far cry series. New dawn is as good as Far Cry 3, in a different way (the open world is more fun to interact, but the story is really bad).
Far cry 5 was great too, but the unavoidable kidnapping story thing was incredibly frustrating that I havent even replayed it, even though the world was done very well.
New dawn is what far cry 5 should have been.
positives about improvements:
-predator animals are more powerful (they used to be too easy to kill)
-Horatio the pig is a very fun companion
-supply drops are fun to look forward to
-crafting is well integrated (missing crafting bags/holsters from hides though)
-very realistic environment, wildlife feels very alive
-retaking outposts makes a nice challenge
-the music integrates well (rap for the bad guys is awesome)
-the tiered weapons and enemies are a nice change
negatives:
-weapons need adjusting: 50cal sniper to head should kill all enemies, RPG should kill all enemies, large explosives should kill all enemies.
-the story was good until the new eden thing, I was never a fan of the Joseph seed cult thing
Conclusion: Fantastic fun open world interaction, much memorable encounters. Story was very weak.
I have one request: please make dlc to expand the map.
