You do realize BHK is a 3 cost and Mephisto is a 4 cost, right? There's the difference right there. And as for your argument about Sexy Nun and Pocahontas, Pocahontas has a much higher attack speed, so their DPS is pretty much the same. Where Pocahontus really shines over Sexy Nun is if you buff him with Master Ninjew.Originally Posted by Meezly1 Go to original post
usu Are correct but i think he was trying to make a valid point and used a bad example. And i think that goes for alot of these posts. The point is why do they keep buffing and nerfing cards that dont make any sense and keep ignoring the obvious fixes and things people have been complaining about for a long time. Like when they gave mr. Slave an extra **** for his death wish, totally avoiding his tru flaws which is his costing 5 energy, and doing whack damage with lower health than almost every other 5 cost tank. When they could be fixing something were actually asking for. Like fixing alien drone, shaman, or fixing mystical. And who is to say they're not? Im guessing its probably not an easy task balancing over 100 cards and expecting there not to be problems. And when people say ”there will always be a strongest theme” they're mostly right. You gotta understand they have 100s of people nagging them and they have to filter through the bs. Most complaints i read here are pretty weak and pointless. If you're getting beat by the same cards all the time and come here to complain make sure its really the cards that's the problem and not you. Every deck has a weak spot, something that will counter it. So does every card. I used to hate a lot of the cards people complain about but not anymore, i learned how to deal with them. People act like they're supposed to win every match because why not? Theyre obviously the best. Everyone keeps bringing up zen for example. I used to hate him but now im almost happy to see him because i know there's a way to handle him with every theme. Push him out of the way with PC(neutral), imp tweek him(mystical), AQR(SCIFI), build up a **** swarm(fantasy), nuke him or aoe spells to kill the support units(adventure). And Belf... Don't get me started. So easy to handle i mean come on. I use belf sometimes, I bet the people complaining abbout her being op are the same people that will feed her 2 chicken coups full of ***** and then send in some rats and gnomes to finish her off. Ive played many opponents with satan and its just like playing someone with a dougie. Once i know they have it, i make adjustments and if done right you can actually use it to your advantage. If you fall for it twice, that's on you bro. Now i said all that to say this, there are big problems and balances that need to made. Mainly to mystical. Dont ask me what specifically because its the whole theme over all not just 1 card and like someone said earlier you cant just nerf it to death. Im fine with some cards overpowering others but you cant have a whole theme just be completely dominant. if we want them to hear us, being rude, calling them names, and throwing temper tantrums are counter productive to say the least. Find a way to articulate you arguments and make valid points. I mean does anyone not notice that the admins never respond to a single message that comes off as threatening or rude? Thats just common sense.Originally Posted by JR0MER0 Go to original post
BHK got obliterated. Time to look for some new strategies. The problem with balances in this game is that people spend literally hundreds of hours and/or dollars investing in a specific strategy and when it gets nerfed it feels real bad. A friend with level 3 Satan (which got nerfed even harder) is just livid today, and I completely get it.
I honestly think that when you compare Sci-Fi and Mystical that Mystical came out better. Its core strengths are ever-so-slightly weakened but still there, while BHK which was at the core of a lot of Sci-Fi strategies is now not there. Paired with the fact that one of Mystical's main struggles is ranged DPS, this might actually help Mystical overall. And Fantasy is just laughing up a storm over there - I think these changes help Fantasy a lot more than they do Adventure, which wasn't really bothered by the existence of BHK.
Valid points. I mean BHK was definitely a strong card but i don't think he was OP in any sense. Very easily countered and even more so now with his health. And his attack was decent for a flyer but it didn't need nerfed either, the whole point of bhk is the buffs he gives. Mines lvl 4 right now and we'll see how the nerfs scale butbim pretty sure he will no longer survive a lvl 4 arrowstorm, or rogue token, or a blast from the NK for that matter. But anyways the part about people being invested in the cards i totally understand. Ive spent some money on the game. I like having some in game cash for rolling on lockers, and refreshing pvp packs and challenges. The only cards i ever bought since the game came out was on 2 Santa packs just to have a lvl 3 santa that i still cant use and by the time I get him to lvl 4 he will probably have been nerfed by then and i will feel cheated. Maybe the solution here isnt to keep nerfing cards that are OP, but instead buff some of the cards that are utterly useless so we have more options and the ability to have a little variety in the game. There's lots of cards that have great concepts and i'd love to be using them but i have so much time and energy in the cards i already have its almost pointless to go backwards and start leveling them up because they have crap stats. And by buffing the weaker cards you solve balancing issues, and at the same time the people with real money invested in their decks dont feel like they're being robbed.Originally Posted by AndrewWang42 Go to original post
I think those balance are good, may be Hallerlujah won't make a big difference but we will see on the field. Also I think you guys should check and probably buff Inca craig, this is one of the leggy who need to be checked.
Also fix the WTD leech power, WTD can leech from an invul shield or leech full hp from 1 rats chicken or pigeon.
CYA
Personal opinion on the "balance changes".
Taking away the health bonus on hallelujah will have a impact on game play. And I'll be interested to see how that turns out in the end.
The changes to both Kyle's will have little to no impact on their performance. People who used them before will still use them to great advantage in situations. I would of much rather seen their buffs removed once they are removed from the play field. Also BHK's heal is broken. There have been countless times I've had to kill the same unit again after BHK rez's it. BHK's heal is like Pope Timmy's warcry on steroids. So either fix that or remove it.
Warboy Tweek and AstroButters. I'm holding judgement till I see them in action. Personally, I didn't think AstroButters was that bad of a card.
As for Satan. A lot of people seem to dislike him. I don't know. Maybe it's because there are not a lot of people running around with level 4+ Satan cards as of now. He just didn't seem like that much of a game changer. There are other cards that are cheaper and easier to level that have bigger influences.
So in the end. It's nice to see all the fixes and what not. I just doubt it'll change things much if any.
so when are derankers actually going to be punished? lost 177 elo when at rank 3900 to an asshat using level 4 satan level 4 mecha and level 5 epics... this is top 100 material not sub 4000s can we please sort this out, my deck is built to face top 2000s yet stuck in this stupid rut of BS because of derankers.
I think you went way too far with hallelujah. Now you are back at the same level when no one use it! Removing the max HP buff is unnecessary. I don't think the card is worth 4 enregy with this nerf.
As a rouge token user I am happy with the bounty hunter nerf. Here is hoping warcry is enough to take him out.
Very good that you buffed warboy and butters.
