Thank You RedLynx............
After taking the day off work yesterday to play Trials Rising it's clear how much love and hard work went into this game. Everyone involved should be proud of the game you shipped yesterday. The track designs are incredible, the game looks and plays better than ever, and I love visiting the different locales around the world.
I've got a couple things I'd like to see addressed soon though, and I'd really appreciate if someone from RedLynx could give some insight into how the studio views these.
1) General performance on PS4 and PS4 Pro seems like it should be better. I'm seeing hitches on PS4 Pro, where the game just hangs for a split second on occasion. There are also momentary framerate drops in high demand areas. For example, two early tracks like Breaking Bad where each time you pass over the train on a jump the game hitches for a moment, and in the construction site track the framerate drops at multiple points including the moment before the wrecking ball swings.
2) Why were the friends leaderboards de-emphasized so much? In prior games you could highlight a track and instantly see your place amongst friends on the leaderboard. Now I have to dig into menus to see this information. I love the competition aspect of Trials and it feels like this information should be more readily available to the user.
Thank You so much RedLynx. You're an amazing studio and I'm really looking forward to the years ahead for this game.
