    Need help with Switch analogue

Hello I have purchased Rising for Xbox and switch and I think it’s absoloutely brilliant but I have one problem!

I am struggling with hard extreme tracks with the switch controls, I heard that a GameCube controller will work but there are so many different types I don’t know which version I am supposed to buy and what I need to buy with it? Also on switch trials is mainly for portable/tabletop mode so I would need a control with analogue input that can connect to the switch while it is not docked.

If somebody could help me that would be fantastic!

    Hey there,

If you are looking to play with a wired gamecube controller, you will need a gamecube adapter for the switch. You can also purchase a wireless gamecube controller so you don't need the adapter, which is honestly a lot easier since the adapters are tough to find now.

Have you looked into the switch pro controller as well?

    Hi

    Thanks for your reply!

I already have a pro controller but it doesn’t work for trials due to the analogue/digital input if that makes sense? I also would not like to use the right stick!

Any idea which controllers will work for trials?

Ahhh I gotchya about the pro controller!

For the gamecube controller? You can use the analog triggers in the game with the gamecube controller for Trials Rising. Also, the right stick works as the throttle and it’s analog.

This is a pretty good video I found showing Trial's Rising utilizing the gamecube controller.

That's a really ingenious setup! Gotta love a McGyver rig.

The pro controller is the way to go, though, for me. I never played the other games, so I learned how to throttle control on the joy cons (didn't have pro controller for first month or so of play). Practice on the joy con analog and you'll be able to work the pro controller on any level course, no prob.
