I have the same problem, there are many mini-freezes. I play on PS4 fat and basic PS4 troubleshooting doesn't change anything.

Fellow PS4 peeps... it's the servers.

When the server were down for maintenance today, my copy ran SMOOTH for the first time since launch.

Why is the game pinging the server while you are racing a track?

That is interesting, although I’m skeptical all the problems are related to that. Some of the issues on certain tracks seem directly related to the graphical demands in the moment.

For example, in the Breaking Bad track when the train enters the scene the frame rate drops. This is a separate issue from the momentary pauses that happen.

For me too, most of the freeze came when an explosion or something else occurs in the background.

Look at the video i posted, the freeze happen right after the car crash and explodes.

I, too, am having the same issue. And I've done the troubleshooting including rebuilding the database. I have a slim. I hope it gets fixed soon.

Same problem for me (i play on the first ps4). I have many micro freezes on almost all tracks.

I also find a way to fix it at 90%, not the best thing but i did this when trying to speedrun extreme/ninja tracks ...

It seems the problem come from the servers, the servers check your trials profil every X times i think. I tried to play without internet connexion and it was ok at 90%, i say 90% cause i get 1 or 2 micro freezes in ~20min (on the same track, blue belt), compared to 1-2 micro freezes every 1-2min when I'm online.

This doesn't help much if you play many tracks in a row cause then it doesn't save your score to the leaderboards as you are offline... If you want to save your times for a specific track : just before the finish line press start, turn on internet connexion, then press the uplay/ubi option, wait the loading, go back and pass the finish line.

I also experiencing micro freezes sometimes when i take a barrel who explode or some lags when there is many particles (last stadium track for example) but this is less embarrassing when you tryhard a track compared to random freezes ...
