I saw this post and just made an account to add my opinion. I literally love ninjas, but they really should not count for score on global leaderboards. It seriously ruins the competitive-ness for all the players that have put thousands and thousands of hours into the previous games. It would be sad to see ninjas count on global leaderboards, period. i even heard some people that helped test the game mention that they dont like the fact ninjas count, i wonder if it was a after thought by redlynx to do this because i dont see people approving this. like i said, i LOVE ninjas, but they shouldn't count for global, even if there is a couple maps
On the overall leaderboard there is a ninja category which means that ninja's will give score. I also heard someone from redlynx mention there's a level 4, so it's not like there even easy ninjas...Originally Posted by s0ad667 Go to original post
Adding Ninja's is much worse than skill games, but even skill games yea, I agree shouldn't part of overall.Originally Posted by Rebrief Go to original post
Ninja tracks are just part of the game. If skill games and stadium finals go towards global score ninja tracks should too.
The purpose of the global leaderboards is to see how a player stacks up overall.
Just as a new player may like the easy, rollercoaster-like tracks and will struggle when the drive lines get technical with hard and extreme,
extreme players will have to adapt to a more technical challenge than they are used to.
Everything is still there, players can still speedrun and play skill games for points, but now there are extra points available if players are skilled enough to handle the challenge.
Should it not be the case that those who can complete ninja tracks are higher on the leader board than those who can't?I see ninjas as a great challenge to aim for. I was always kind of disappointed that they were locked behind a faultless run of each extreme in Fusion - I always wanted to practice instead of butting the wall :P
