This has already been covered via example shots of areas in California, but it only happens during a "Superbloom", which don't happen that often. Ubi's portrayal of it is far more excessive than a typical Superbloom, even more so than a rare 2nd year in a row one, which Cal has recently had.Originally Posted by iGame3D Go to original post
Besides, that, Ubi saw fit to on top of it toss hot pink Highwaymen graffiti all over the place, pink flares, etc, which makes it so common it becomes nauseating to some. This isn't about realism in Ubi's portrayal, or the modding of it. Plus it's totally personal preference, and those of us whom choose to mod it really don't care about the opinions of others .We know what looks acceptable to us, as well as what doesn't.
This is wrong. All you have to do is not use herbicide, go around the yard or local park with a weed wacker or lawn mower without a bag and blammo you have this horrid weed everywhere. It blooms quickly and then a freeze or snow or extreme heat makes the flowers go away so you have like three flowers to a plant, while the plant is spreading like an infection low to the ground.Originally Posted by Frag_Maniac Go to original post
Well without most humans and their pollution you get global cooling, you get rain that Montana isn't getting today, add some Bliss to the soil and water and super dooper bloom happens.Originally Posted by Frag_Maniac Go to original post
Hah, suffer in your sadness. Hot Pink power forever!Originally Posted by Frag_Maniac Go to original post
LOL, now I don't know if you're even serious. I'm talking about actual occurrences in the wild of nature, with pics to prove it, not weed control in some poor sap's yard. Maybe you don't know the difference between naturally occurring wildflowers and common weeds, I suggest you read up on it.Originally Posted by iGame3D Go to original post
Regardless, it's a matter of personal preference, and the beauty of it is, regarding doing this kind of thing via ReShade, we don't need Ubi's permission, or any overbearing player's endorsement to do it. The only thing sad is your thinking everyone has to be on your pink parade bandwagon, especially when you use pathetic examples of weeds taking over the neighborhood. It just sounds conflicted and laughable really.
Yeah I thought I covered the editing part well enough with this...Originally Posted by PaddyWak Go to original post

The value you want to edit pertains to the last option in the second category of editable files, which allow editing Hue Shift and Control. Specifically you only need to edit the Magenta Hue Control value. Each editable value is shown in green, but you only need edit the bottom one, which I highlighted in red in the pic below. Any value lower than the default takes you toward blue. Since -1.2 looked very purple-ish to me, I took it all the way down to -1.8. In that case it's a lighter blue with no purple.
Once you get the desired look, make sure you use Ctrl+S to save the changes. To exit the ReShade pages click the X in the upper right of the Edit page, and tap Esc to exit the Home page. That's it, now the game should launch with your new settings."
I suppose it might have been clearer had I grouped the instructions for each page above the actual page it pertains to, but none the less the instructions are pretty easy to follow. Clearly as you noticed he had not made any edits though.
BTW Paddy, it just occurred to me the reason I got too much purple at -1.2 might be that I did not use your other tweak, which you originally said only applied to red. Now that you say it affects pink too, I may try it and see how it looks with the flowers. The light blue is a bit too tame.
[edited]
Turns out lowering red saturation did nothing to make the blue less purple. I did however settle on -1.7, which makes the blue pop more with still no purple, unless there's sunset skies.
BTW Paddy, you made a typo in your red sat edit. For both from/to you used a -0.30000. It should read from 0.00 to -0.300
Hey Frag ...
Well spotted on the typo ...... and yes you did a great job explaining how to do the changes.
Yeah the change to blue isn't so perfect because as you found too ... every tweak to a colours affects the whole image.
There will be a certain amount of red in the oranges, some blue in the greens and even yellow in the reds etc. ... so tweak one colour and it will affect the others.
@ iGame3D ... lol at your justification for the pink in the game and if you like it more power to you ...... but why are you here?
This thread is about how to change it not about how to justify it ...![]()
Better get your MODS ready.

First off, you can't "mod all of the pink out" even in this game. You still get hot pink graffiti all over the place, and most pink smoke flares on Expeditions are all pink, or half pink, half blue.Originally Posted by N4DAR31GN Go to original post
Secondly, RAGE 1 was pretty disappointing. While Rage 2 might be better, the pink used there is akin to what was seen in Fury Road, vs a complete misrepresentation of Superblooms via WAY too much pink, and not enough other colors, and pink graffiti.
As far as Halo, I consider it a very childish game, with cartoonish enemies that run around waving their arms above their heads like idiots. Plus it for some time has been console only, so I guess the childish theme fits.
The fact is, I can't think of any game that uses an excessive amount of hot pink or purple that really looks all that interesting to play. It's a gimmick at best. RAGE 2 might be the one exception, but that remains to be seen.
Besides that, no one here is asking opinions on the choice to mod it out. It's completely personal preference. No one's forcing or influencing you to agree.
LOL, as I'm definitely a hetero male, I have no interest in such games. Truth be told I can't stand sim type games in general, let alone silly cartoon ones.Originally Posted by N4DAR31GN Go to original post
