    Hey Paddy, I had no problem DLing ReShade, but I don't see a link to DL the lightroom_fx shaders. Please don't tell me you have to register on github to get it? If so, you know of any other sites that have that file?

    I didn't have to sign up to download the suite ... here is the link ... just cick the green button "Clone or download" and choose download ZIP ... the shaders folder is in that zip.

    Regarding the WSGF ... it's been a long time for me too ... I did say "most guys" for a reason ... lol
    I was a moderator there ... I was let down by the owner of the forum one too many times and so walked away.
    If I'm honest I wasn't very ATI friendly due to bad experiences ... so I hope it wasn't me that talked down at you!
    Banning was something only the admins could do so I certainly didn't ban you or anyone for that matter.

    With that said I did find many people on there very helpful with regard to getting games working in widescreen and multi-monitor and it is still a source of info for me even if I no longer participate

    Thanks, one last thing, is there by chance a color chart somewhere that shows you all the hues and what number to use to employ them?

    Not that I know of ... I just tried different values for the magenta hue control and came up with -1.200 for the lilac blue.
    I also desaturated the red value as I felt the reds were also way too vibrant I changed it to ... -0.300 ... check the gun in the screenshot above to see the result.
    There are values you can change for hue control, exposure and saturation.

    I have another question for you.

    At the end of my game session last night, a prisoner truck I hijacked had a prisoner in it that wouldn't get out when I opened the back doors. I had driven it all the way to Prosperity Base, so there weren't any hostiles around. He just sat there unshackled repeatedly asking me to free him. There was nothing but a close door prompt when I tried to interact with him. Shortly after I tried interacting with the garage side Enter prompt to get into the base, but the game crashed to desktop. I was playing on 4k DSR on my 1080 SC averaging 40 FPS btw, with no lag and smooth as I employed the framerate lock at 40.

    So my question is, are these common bugs in the game, and have you noticed any bugs like this getting worse or more frequent with the ReShade mod you're using?

    I've read some say crashing can be common if you don't use W7 compatibility mode. So far I'm only using run as admin.

    Just about there on the shader injection. I decided to go ahead and try it because I realized I was 2 build versions behind the New Dawn GPU driver, which very well could have at least caused that crash.

    Like you, it seemed a bit complex to me at first but once I had ReShade installed to game's exe directory, then added the lightroom file to the shaders (readme says to not delete the fxh file so I added that too). Launched the game and saw the press Home + Pos 1 (odd it didn't just say 1). Then the gen settings panel came up and I just figured out what to click to get the shaders showing.

    I'm pretty sure you meant MAGENTA HUE SHIFT, not MAGENTA HUE "CONTROL" (which you said in your Steam guide), because on the Edit page for the shaders I only see the SHIFT one. I'm not sure what the min max adjustments are for, but since you seemed to be indicating only one edit is necessary, I assumed it's the bottom one under PALETTE?

    I'm posting a screenshot to show/ask if I have the right line highlighted to edit? I'm getting antsy though bro, so if you can't answer soon I'm just going to have to experiment.

    LOL, just noticed above palette it does in fact say Magenta Hue Control, so I guess I got the right one. Sorry bro, messed up your perfect guide.



    I hadn't noticed it said Ctrl+S to Save at the top of the Edit screen, so I got that sorted.

    Well, I tried -1.20, but it looks way more lavender than blue. It's probably due to my display being a bit older CCFL type. A setting of -1.60 to -1.80 is where I need to go to get that shade you're using. The problem though is it will change quite a bit according to what distance and lighting you're in. At certain settings I've seen it look anywhere from pinkish to purple from a distance, and definitely a lot darker or lighter even as I'm close depending on the TOD lighting. HDR lighting especially does a number on it. I'd not added any other edits either. Are you noticing this as well?

    Here's an example what I mean. This is at -1.5 setting and you can clearly see the flowers exposed to the afternoon sunlight look drastically different from the ones in the shade.

    Yes the lighting does seem to affect the colour ... check my screenshot compared to yours as you can see the flowers are much pinker in the shade on the right but other times as in my previous SS they appear bluer in the shade and sometimes quite purple as in the main menu background.
    Also as you can see in the ss ... I didn't think to mention but I'm using reshade 3.4.1 ... it looks much a much simpler layout to yours.
    I can't imagine that the version would make a difference to the colour changes though.
    The only other thing is I have the red desaturated and I'm pretty sure any colour change affects that colour in the whole scene ... as pink contains red as well as megenta I'm sure it has had an affect on the pinks too.



    Regarding the hijacked prisoner truck ... I always set them free where I stop the truck ... I've never taken them back to base.
    I have never had that problem with them but I did one time have an issue with a supply truck ... the doors opened but the ramp bit didn't so I couldn't do anything.
    No other issues of that sort.
    I have no idea if it or your issue is related to reshade.
    One unrelated issue I have had is UBI locking the FOV on ultra wide and multi monitor setups which has a fix now from the WSGF ... all UBI's other games of late apart from FAR CRY games do not have the FOV locked.
    They don't seem to want to fix it ... very odd!

    This guy had the same problem I had with the supply truck ... I don't think these issues have anything to do with using Reshade it's just the game is buggy ...

    Well honestly I'm pretty sure I used that link you posted from Steam and I would of thought that site would be updated for the latest build version of ReShade, but apparently not.

    Yeah the game's got a few bugs, the main two of which I've had repeatedly are a crash to desktop every now and then and my res and subtitles resetting to 1080p and English vs Off.

    Yeah ... you would think it would go to the latest version ... strange ... is yours not the latest then?
    But ... like I said my version isn't the latest either .
    It says on that reshade page I linked to the latest is ... 4.1.1 ... mine is 3.4.1.351

    No crashes to desktop here or the res reset thing but I do have to turn subtitles off every time I start the game ... ... and a new bug since the uplay update where the game won't play off line unless I play another game first.
    On your res issue have you tried making the config read-only ... dunno it will help but you never know.
