I can confirm this works.....played for 5 hours last night....could barley play 5 minutes before with my relative between AU and UK. Works like a charm. Ubi you should be embarrassed and disgraced that someone had to do your job for you.....its something like 100 odd lines of fu$%n code

Hello from Brazil. I discovered a solution that solved the "bookworm error" for PC.

Olá amigos, descobri uma solução para o problema "bookworm error" quando tentei jogar coop com meu amigo no Pc. Eu fui no diretório do jogo

(D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Far Cry New Dawn\bin) e executei como administrador, após isso não aconteceram mais problemas relatados a conexão.

    PS4 still facing this issue

Can't believe that players had to create their own patch to fix this on PC!! Me and my friend have tried over 20 times to play already and I always get the same error bookworm-2CEA2BDC. I just can't conceive the fact that this is still happening after more than a year and in a server like PS, I love the franchise but I can't accept this. Just fix it with a patch, if this is going to happen I'm seriously not pre-ordering Far Cry 6.

    I found the solution

I had this same problem, and I really struggled to solve it, it was like that. I went to try to play UNO, a game also from Ubi, but there was a problem when I was going to play with the same person that I tried at FCND (we live in the same city and we have a good internet speed), this problem said that the type of NAT my internet was restricted, so it conflicted with my partner's internet preventing us from connecting. It was then that I called my ISP, and asked them to make my NAT open. When I tried again it worked. I hope it works for you.

Hello me and my friend tried to play new dawn today, he lives in Poland and I live in Washington state, we couldn't connect and play together, I don't know how to forward my ports I tried to look it up but I got confused. Can someone please help me do that. Also I am on Xfinity WiFi through a modem and he's on satellite internet, I don't know if that matters thought I should mention it tho. Thank you for your help

Still experiencing the "Bookworm-2CEA2BDC" after attempting troubleshooting.

Me and a friend of mine grabbed the game recently solely for the co-op experience after going through Far Cry 5's co-op without any issues. We live in different parts of the world, but thinking that since FC5's co-op worked well, we thought that FC:ND would be the same (apparently not). Troubleshooting steps from 2 years ago (and some of it until now) don't seem to work, and it doesn't seem like there would be a fix to it following a Twitter post that said "There is no official workaround for this. This was an intentional system in the game, to ensure the quality of the cooperative experience."

    https://twitter.com/UbisoftSupport/s...10541881053184

I dunno, if we can't play the game as a result, that doesn't exactly go well for the "quality of the cooperative experience" for us (and based on several other online posts, same goes for other people as well, that they can't play with their friends in different countries).

Until this is fixed, don't think we'll be providing further support into newer games. All we're looking for is an official fix of sorts just so that we can have fun (ours, and that of other players).
