And even doing that getting to 100% in the game took only 15 hours.
To be fair, this certainly isn't the only game in which side missions require that you return to a location you've already visited. I'm thinking of Skyrim, Fallout IV, etc., etc.

FCND includes an excellent fast-travel feature that makes it less tedious to revisit areas. Also, the outpost and expedition mission areas change as you level them up. I would certainly prefer to visit new areas but found the degree of re-use to be acceptable here. Agree that a single play-through involves less time than I would like but I found the game to be worth the price overall.

You're late to the party OP.

People have been asking for a means to re-do outposts sine Far Cry 2, back then we had to start the whole game over, and/or just run around the same parts of the map where enemies respawn, which was like every 50 feet you traveled and of course people cried rivers about that.
I replayed that game like six times just to see what would be different if I came at the mission with a different load out, vehicle, or at a different time of the day or in the rain.
    Damn that game was great.

Far Cry 3 I forget and lack of main story mode co-op is making it hard to go back to and re-evaluate. But the Co-Op in there was basically taking outposts one after another for hours, and you did the same content everyday because the other players were new and you expected to get better and better at the missions, faster, and with more competence. However that was kind of exhausting. I don't even know how long a run lasts, but I know it's fairly long.

In Far Cry 4 you just 'recycle' the garbage on the ground to trigger the outpost reset, and the enemy was constantly attacking and retaking your outposts, which probably triggered the OCD crowd to repeat the same outpost all the time or just annoyed the player with the constant calls for help, and then maybe broke the do gooder immersion because you were like "Nah, I'm going to collect some flowers and animal skins for fashion week, defend your own damn outpost"

Redoing outposts really kicks up the challenge. It gives co-op players something to do to help each other get the resources they need and the kick of taking an outpost together instead of A) Having nothing to do after completing the game B) starting a new game just to have something to do. C) doesn't break the events of the story like Far Cry 5's post credits return to Hope County.

    People will complain about anything.
