Major Screen Tearing when going fullscreen

    Specs:

    7700K

    GTX 1080 Ti

    16GB RAM

    Monitor is 3440x1440, 100Hz, G-Sync, Predator X34

My monitor is G-Sync so there is no reason to have screen tearing when fullscreen. For whatever reason, it does not screen tear when I put it in borderless windowed mode, also with G-Sync on. V-sync is turned OFF because I have G-Sync.

I've always thought G-sync works via v-sync being turned on, and that's why you're getting tearing in full-screen. In windowed mode, you're running through the Windows desktop management stuff which always has v-sync turned on, so no tearing.
