I had pressed escape in order to quickly back out of selecting my feats, when i suddenly went to the main menu. My friend confirmed that I was still in the hero selection and i had no way to go back to it, i could still hear the music of the selection screen in the background. When the timer ran out and we went ingame, i could only see my own hero standing there as they would in the hero selection screen. When the game started, i could run around until i pressed tab or escape, which put me back at the main menu but kept me in the game. Looked like the attached screenshot.
