Broken Gun for Hire quest? Maybe?

I picked up the 'Mo' Mommies Mo' Problems' quest and was having some issues with it so I put it on the back burner for a bit but it seems to have disappeared. Its not in my journal or anything, and I can't seem to pick it back up from Sharky.. When I go to the racing track location for it, there's nothing there.. Does it disappear if you progress to far? Did I break something? or am I possibly just derping out.. Anyone else hit this issue?

Do you see any white map markers? New Dawn has a new (bad) system for tracking quests.

Unlike FC5, active missions are not automatically added to your Journal unless you manually track them. So if you don't immediately track them then you have to look for the white icon on the map and click it.

Honestly don't know why they changed it, it was simpler and more logical in FC5.

They are added in the journal, they are just not tracked (white). You can track them from both journal and map.

/\ Ok, if that's the case then why not make it exactly the same as FC5, thus avoiding everyone's confusion?

    Answer: Ubisoft!

@OP: did you by chance also accepted the story mission that takes place in the same location, where you have to race for Irwin Smalls? It's called Riding Derby.
If you have the story mission active, the GFH mission will be disabled.
