    Error code Snowshoe EA8151F

I get this error code every time the game starts. It says loading profile and will not load until I click ok on the error notification. I also am noticing some of my video/graphics settings wont save and I have to redo them every time I load the game. Could this be related?

Dont see an option to edit my post so I'll add, I made an exception in windows defender for the Ubisoft folder, ive tried running it as administrator both uplay and farcry new dawn and none of those fixes worked. I still get this error and no settings will persist between games.

    Hey Foxx727,

Thank you for getting in touch.

Can you try the steps in this FAQ and let me know if it works for you?

    Cheers.

None of that has worked, I even reinstalled the game. I was looking in my documents where such game settings are normally saved and i dont even have a file there for this game.

Thanks for the update Foxx727. Can you confirm if you have Uplay PC and the game installed on the same drive?

After a great deal of time on google, i found many people with the same issue in Farcry 3,4 and 5. Windows defender was preventing the settings file from being made its seems. Disabling windows defender and launching the game, then choosing my settings now saves them. I wont run my PC without defender though so if I ever want to change a setting again I must disable windows defender. This feels like a band aid fix but the settings now persist between games. Hopefully there is a better one available.

To answer your question yes Uplay and the game are both on my D: drive. With windows being on C:

The saves for the game are on the C: drive to the best of my knowledge. There may be an issue with moving information between the drives.

Hiya Gullfaxi171, could you tell me if you've already tried the steps above that Swaggins linked?

If you've gone through all of those and it hasn't alleviated your issue then could you make a ticket here and include things like your MSINFO and DxDiag files please

I know I'm way to late but here is what worked for me. After turning of real time protection in Virus & threat protection category, error was gone. Windows virus protection is absolute and utter garbage. I had problems with a lot of games and programs that won't start because of windows virus protection. LEGIT games are recognized as threat or virus. Threat my A$$, turn that garbage off and get any other antivirus software.
