    Matchmaking: Bug, or Normal Behaviour?

I've seen some complaints posted about this elsewhere, so instead of complaining I thought I'd pose this as a question: Is it normal to be consistently placed against opponents with an NK level that is 4-7 levels higher than mine? If so, why?

    For context...

I jotted down the levels of 10 consecutive opponents I played against the other day (I was NK level 11 at the time), and while their PVP ranks were always within 2-3 levels of mine (45), their NK levels were as follows:
    16, 18, 12, 14, 13, 11, 17, 12, 12, 16.

Since there is almost always a direct correlation between NK level and card level, it seems strange that a match making system would place me in an even fight less than 50% of the time. I'm completely F2P, and my highest card is a level 5 common. The rest of my deck is level 4 commons and rares, with one level 2 epic. The majority of my opponents have decks made up of mostly level 5s.

Is this actually how match making is supposed to function?

Matches are made based on your PvP ranking and not your New Kid level, so if you're being placed against those who are within 2-3 levels of your ranking, then all is working as intended.
