When I leveled to level 49 and 50 just now, the screen from levelling to 45 was shown.

The rank 45 arena screen has been popping up whenever reaching rank 50 for probably 3-5 weeks now. I've been seeing it happen for a while now. I think when I was trying to hit legendary near the end of last season, it was happening, so it's been at least a month, based on that.

3-5 weeks? Nah, man, as far as I can tell it's always been like that, I don't think there was ever a different screen for lvl 50 arena. I first reached it around 6 months ago, and it's always just shown the lvl 45 one.

When I made it to 50 the first time, a little over 2 months ago, there was no arena popup when I hit 50. Whenever I went from 44 to 45, the rank 45 arena would pop up on the screen to display the details about that arena, but then when I reached 50, there was no such popup. Then a month or so ago, whenever I ranked up from 49 to 50, it started to pop up the rank 45 arena. Wasn't really a problem for me, so I never complained, but I did notice it happen, since it was a difference from the past behaviour I had experienced. I just assumed it was an intentional change with an update around that time.
