V-Sync disabled on fullscreen, maybe since day-one patch

    Hello.

I've started to play Far Cry New Dawn at launch date, before I received the day-one patch (I don't know why I received this patch so late, I bought on Uplay my game).
Before day-one patch, my gaming session was good with v-sync enabled and no tearing.

After day-one patch, V-Sync seems disabled even with option toggled on.
Tearing is just horrible, because my computer can manage 50-80 fps, and my screen is only 60 Hz.
Added to this, the game suffered some black transparent horizontal bars, like an old CRT screen you shot with a camera, when v-sync is disabled.

The only way to keep v-sync is to play in borderless windowed mode, with some performance penalties.

    Here's my benchmark:
    https://1drv.ms/u/s!AgyJ7UBk34_BvPJR2z8VSxr-5fBBDw

    About my computer :
    OS: Windows 10 Pro 1809 x64
    CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K
GPU: NVidia GeForce GTX 1070 (EVGA superclocked model)
    RAM: 16 GB

And to be complete, i'm suffering several random crashes (my hardware is 100% good), I think, not related to this vsync problem.

    Hey geeooff,

    Thank you for your report.

Can you provide me with an image of the tearing and black bars?

    Thank you.

Tearing and vsync problem are now resolved.

I have reinstalled the same driver via GeForce Experience but with "clean installation" option.
I don't know why, because I never set up other than default options in nvidia control panel (especialy v-sync to be controlled by the 3D app), but it changed the game v-sync to behave as intended. So it seems to be a driver problem with the new one provided by Nvidia.

About black bars, they now gone, so they were related to v-sync off tearing behavior.
I think they are caused by some strange black flickering in Prosperity by night, when you are looking to a dark area. If you look to a bright area, the effect isn't visible.
It cause the screen to show a darker image on two, causing the flickering.
Maybe with v-sync off this flickering can cause a black bar where the half-image was rendered...

I tried to capture this flickering with GeForce Experience overlay at 60fps and 50mbits bitrate, but the video don't look like reality.

    I hope I've helped someone.
